  1. Was expecting that, a combination of the points deficit to make up, and the fact that season tickets couldn't be used will have kept a few away.
  2. Watching it back a few times I've changed my mind, looked out of control from one of the angles but Madsen did take him out
  3. if riders are tied for a position in a Speedway GP round, the countback system is used, with the rider registering the most race wins ranked highest. If they are tied on race wins, seconds, then thirds and fourth places are taken into consideration – with a fourth place deemed better than a retirement or disqualification. If this does not resolve the tie, the rider who scored the most points in the race or races when the tied riders met is placed highest. If the riders are still deadlocked, the rider with the highest FIM ranking out of the tied riders is placed highest Can't be bothered looking back through the scorecard, they must've reached option 4 by the sounds of it.
  4. Sad but true, it amazes me that Cardiff can still get around 20k, for a lot of 'supporters' it must be the only speedway meeting they actually attend during the year.
  5. Nowhere near as many people will go to Manchester as Cardiff, it's not really a 'weekend away' place is it?
  6. It was rubbish, again. Each heat pretty much all over before the end of lap 1.
  7. Haven't attended for over ten years now, if you're there with a few beers on board and taking in the atmosphere it can seem good, but in the cold light of day it's very average. Even the fireworks are getting fewer and fewer with every year, hardly worth bothering with them now going by that 'display'.
  8. Fast and furious, but lets face it, the racing was crap
  9. There's no denying that he's the man you need on your side when the chips are down, proved it several times this season
  10. Somebody needs to tell McGurk that the race finishes at the line not the exit of the last bend
  11. Poor racing so far, done and dusted before end of lap 1
  12. McGurk being embarrassed at this level. Decent heat leader at NDL level but a step too soon moving up this season.
  13. What are they doing with the tapes, stitching a new set on a sewing machine?
  14. Vissing baulked Bailey in every turn there, never seems to have much awareness of where his team mates are.
  15. Got to have sympathy for the promoters in that sort of situation when you've got riders from both teams travelling from all over the country and away supporters coming over as well. But it can turn into a bit of a "going through the motions" just to get the meeting completed and crossed off the calendar.
  16. Sorry Workington speedway, got as far as ASDA driving down, wipers on constant to clear the drizzle, decided against it and went home. Memories of watching several meetings at Derwent Park in poor conditions, races essentially decided coming out of the first/second bend and then a follow-my-leader procession with riders well separated and more occupied with pulling tear-offs than racing. Track may well have been rideable but not much enjoyment or entertainment for riders or fans alike in those conditions.
