13.05.2022 - Scunny v Oxford League
Hilly replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Oxford engine room just not up to it at present and no big scores at reserve. Not a good combination. Play off place still up for grabs thou -
Redcar v Oxford, KO Cup 2nd Leg. Fri 29th April 7.30pm
Hilly replied to pvm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We do seem to be just short a little short of being a good team. Bears deservedly go through, we benefited from having Gilkes guesting on Wednesday. Very good meeting and a very nice track. Good luck in the next round to the Bears. -
Oxford vs Redcar KOC 27th April 22

Without Gilkes it would have been a home defeat, he rode very well and fully deserved a shot in heat 15. Cant imagine 4 points will be enough, but you never know. -
Newcastle vs Oxford SGB Championship Sun 24 Apr 4pm
Hilly replied to StevePark's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Fully deserved win by Oxford, thou its obvious that Diamonds are currently very poor. Hopefully things will turn around for them soon. Thomas and Ruml both very good, big improvement from lesser showings the previous night at Berwick. We need to get Batchelor going to remain competitive against other teams thou, especially away from home. With Heeps and McDonald having not really ridden yet, difficult to know where we actually stand. -
BERWICK v OXFORD (Championship) Saturday 23rd, 7pm
Hilly replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Certainly a better meeting than the score suggests. Some terrific passing moves around a track that gets a bad rap. Thought we would score a few more, difficult running r/r if you have a couple of men slightly down on their scoring. Special mention to local lad Nathan Stoneman, def a track he seems to enjoy and always entertaining. Much colder than I remember up north -
Can see Poole hitting 60 points at home quite a few times this season. Far better in all area's last night.
-
Josh McDonald suffered a break to the bottom of his tibia when he crashed in heat 2 on Wednesday, replaced tonight by Nathan Stoneman , stepping up from the Chargers. Hopefully Josh can make a swift recovery, good luck to local lad Stoneman this evening.

Tickets for the meeting against Poole still available online.

Oxford website says 6pm so maybe that's one already.

Anybody have any suggestions for a nice place to stay after a meeting? Will be coming up for the Berwick/Oxford meeting then onto Newcastle the following day. Thanks in advance

After many many years away, Cheetahs make their comeback. We know it's a sell out, what does ever body expect? Be great to have a look around the place and actually see the Cheetahs race jacket in an actual league meeting. A nice 6/8 point home win before moving on to some team on the South coast on Friday

BERWICK v OXFORD (NDL) Saturday, April 9th (7pm)
Hilly replied to crescent girl's topic in National League Speedway
A good effort from the Chargers, faller whilst leading and Jenkins coming down in heat 15, could have been much closer. Still got Killeen to come in as well. Very promising, especially after the Bullets away win last night. -
Looking at your user name, surely Lukas Dryml's first UK club, Oxford

Pay on the gate is still an option, but the first meeting is likely to be heavily supported so to ensure entry, book in advance. Any subsequent meetings should be fine to pay at the gate.
-
It suggests getting a ticket ahead for the first meeting as it's likely to be well attended and they may have a capacity to work to. You are able to buy 2 tickets at the same time, total would still be £38 thou as each ticket has a booking fee (which personally annoys me) Buy at the gate is still allowed, which for future meetings I imagine no chance of being over capacity. Obviously would help if they stated what, if any, the capacity is

Not sure how many spaces they have been allowed (although it has plenty of space) to ensure you have a space you have to choose the parking option at no extra cost. No reason why you cannot try stadium first and if its full, go to the Unipart parking having chosen that option. The actual stadium car park has always been on the small side so will always fill up.
