  1. Wonder whether he may consider reducing his workload maybe give Poland a miss next year and concentrate on GP'S bangs to the head like that are never good !
  2. I think you have made the point ,IMO they should have deducted 20 points and allowed the fans to see probable the greatest rider the sport has ever seen as we know their careers can be over in the blink of an eye !
  3. RIP a sad loss always great to watch .
  4. A very good post some sound reasoning for Cardiff all of which are valid and true but the main overwhelming factor is the roof "guaranteed to be on .Except for the first time I have always done it there and back in the day and had a great time . As a former hotel owner I can tell you they have to "make hay while the sun shines ", the overheads on going costs are just the same full as half empty in many cases ..
  5. Yes I agree I take my hat off to Holder he went through the pain barrier and a bit .
  6. IMO there is nowhere else in the UK the roof makes it nailed on ,it can be a great experience is something a little different they call it the Monaco of s/way and many say that Monaco should not be on the F1 calendar but attracts huge crowds .
  7. I think that's harsh the track held up much better than last year ,IMO Cardiff often gives the less favourable riders a real chance of winning a GP and with the roof is guaranteed to be on . The rider of the night without doubt was Holder ( just can't warm to the fellow myself ) my worry with him is he has to ride beyond himself IMO at times to beat Bart , I think that Tai was under huge pressure from Bart when he came to grief. Even on a poor night by his standards he is the one they all fear people go on about him having all the luck but as Gary Player the golfer said "the more I practise the luckier I get " , imagine what he could do if he gated more often rather than having to do it the hard way !
  8. Bart was coming passed whether on the inside or outside as to getting any easy ride don't forget his meeting with the fence in the the last GP !
  9. I must admit I was fed up of the amount of time spent focussed on Morris it was like one of those fly on the wall documentaries " a day in the life of a pale stale male" not a s/way GP ,hopefully they will try to pad out the next GP better !
  10. The vast majority of decent tracks are in Poland a few in Denmark plus the NSS ,Cardiff is what it is ( imo the Monaco of s/way ) but they try to give other country's a go .That said last nights should be the last one staged there IMO ,I think we were lucky that there were not more serious accidents . With regard to the series being boring I have said before if you take Bart( IMO already one of the greatest riders the sport has ever seen ) out of the equation the rest are fairly well matched. If he would dominate the same with the Russians in is academic IMO he is a better rider than a couple of years ago particularly in the GP's and could still get better yet not good news for the rest , I thought he would have had a lean night last night and the other's would have closed the gap it was not to be .
  11. His only chance of remotely beating Bart was out gate him and he blew it !
  12. Tai is becoming the new Hancock to me but not quite good enough disguising his rolls !
  13. Don't think Bart will do much today think it will be gate and go Doyle , Madsen or Dudek would be my pick for winner
  14. Sadly I find the tone of your reply disappointing ,however the sport has had riders who been all but unscathed throughout their careers ( Mauger for example) and others who have been less fortunate Peter Collins springs to mind .Imo there is a certain amount of luck involved in whether riders have serious injuries or not during their career's and I for one don't even want to speculate about Bart coming to grief
  15. I must admit I find it a strange question to ask , one would assume he would return to the "once in generation " rider that he is !
  16. He's "Out of the top drawer" ! sheer box office almost every race
