SPOT ON although I am not quite there yet( 54yrs old) but my reasons for being against the play offs is that the whole thing is meaningless, that includes winning the league WHAT do teams get out of it except huge wage bills for top riders .I have never thought of not going to speedway because my team didn't win the league ( did in fact Ellesmere Port 1985) look how well that went .It is the quality of racing that matters and having value for money ,you don't need GP stars to make good racing equally matched riders,machinery and close racing make good speedway .

I have serious doubts that Stead will be ready for the start of the season may have to build a team without him at least to start with

What ever happens PK must not be lost to the sport through "lists" or any other form of "red Tape" !!!!!

IMO still think PK will start at four but will end up as a heatleader

taking a well earned rest infers he should retire to me which I disagree with

He is over the winter ready for next season see no reason why he needs any longer years in the old dog yet

Spot on need to forget about the GP's and think about the EL if they are not here then let's just carry on without them

What's new good, riddance to them lets move on and think about the EL and not worry what Olsen's puppets are doing

Reminds me of PK at Wolves (although nearly 10yrs younger) not quite the riders they were but can still pull a some good scores together ,these riders just want to race and as long as they don't get hurt good luck to them.

Sorry don't like fast track all about money not developing riders no place for it in the EL ruined the format IMO just hope they don't wreck the PL with it

Or you could say that a lot of the blame could be the impact of the GP series on the EL in this country,I really personally don't care if the GP boys are here or not ,there's a lot that can be done before we need to beg that lot to come here.Once we come to terms with that and move on looking at improving and protecting what we have got here and riders who WANT to ride in our leagues we will not be at the beck and call of these super stars.

IMO there is no getting away from the fact in this day and age the engine is everything whether you are a world champ with EVERYTHING at your disposal or a exceptional veteran with a lifetime of knowledge if the bikes not right then the heads not right .I watched Tai several times during that season and he looked like was trying but just had no faith in his machinery ,in PK's case he was trying his best to ride out of the "rut" and don't believe he is as bad as some make out and did up his average on last season .It is not a fair comparison I agree because PK has not got the access to the machinery Tai has( except for Greg who else has) never mind how old he is .

Excellent post have never liked this format purely about the money saving nothing else imagine coming up against Mauger, Briggs or Olsen 3 plus times a night without chance of having a heat to get things right sheer madness borne out by good riders being made to look bad this season .
