  1. He's been saddled with the 7 for this season. He was due to guest for Rye House at Ipswich in place of 5.44 Robin Aspegren but was then ruled out at at the last minute because of the reassessment.
  2. A summary of the case, including a link to the 2014 Supreme Court decision (91 pages!); http://www.environmentlaw.org.uk/rte.asp?id=309
  3. Rescheduled for Sunday 20th September @ 2pm which makes it the final round of 6.
  4. He has patriality so legitimately went into the NL on a 5 point average as per the regulations as distinct from British passport holders who start on 3.
  5. That one's always confused me. The only other time I've heard the term 'amateur' used in connection with the NL was when Len Silver was led to believe that he could use Tyson Nelson as an amateur for the Cobras at Scunthorpe & ended up having his 17 points removed from the results when it proved not to be so.
  6. Patriality, that's why he started in the NL on a 5.
  7. Fingers crossed for this one as the weather forecast looks awful. http://www.younglionsspeedway.co.uk/round-4-of-the-mitas-british-youth-championship/ If it's on, it will be covered by Speedway Updates http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/board/406/british-youth-championship
  8. Len is the NL Track Curator with Andrew having had no input to track prep since the infamous dust off. Unfortunately, no one else, especially the riders, have any input either.
  9. From the forecast I'm expecting the weather to win out over both the weekend's meetings.
  10. ...and here; http://www.buryfreepress.co.uk/news/local/latest-news/supreme-court-finds-mildenhall-stadium-liable-for-noise-couple-s-legal-bills-1-6867086
  11. The only reference to video evidence in the regs is that the referee isn't allowed to use non-TV company video during a meeting.
  12. For those questioning the actions of Godfrey, Lunna & Morris, the following is a quote from Speedway Star; "Referee Clarke said: 'The sit-in, as far as I was concerned, was just a bit of theatre for the crowd. It only lasted a few seconds so I had a chat to Rob after the meeting and that's as far as it goes. Nike Lunna and Ashley Morris were also fined the maximum £200 for fighting on the track.'" On the Auty/Tungate incident, Grahame Reeve said; "As Peter Clarke had interviewed Tungate at length during the meeting, I am asking Peter to tell if the video footage confirms or contradicts what Tungate answered to the referee. The answers to that will determine whether the SCB takes further action."
  13. They didn't need to qualify, they're the hosts.
  14. If Pairman was originally happy to leave the inquiry in the event of a conflict of interest, why didn't he just leave when the obvious conflict arose? It shouldn't have been necessary for anyone to ask.
  15. The parent club has priority and if the rider is on loan then it's the team in the same league as the parent club. If there's a rearranged fixture clash then the original one takes priority.
  16. Bob Cooper's last season with the Rockets was '78. Just the one in Mel Taylor's head...
  17. If he hasn't been already, I'm sure Len will be on the phone to Graham Drury to find out exactly how he want's the track prepared for Saturday.
  18. He's tweeted that he doesn't feel the need for a hospital visit & he'll definitely be riding in the Laurels tomorrow.
  19. By the end of the match it was virtually a blue track with horrendous clouds of dust. I would imagine his riders are less than happy with Mr. Jolly given the conditions he expects them to ride in every week. Danyon seemed a bit more under control in the MDL match, although still with the obligatory fall, and George Hunter looked pretty good too.
  20. Don't waste your time & money if they don't learn how to prepare a track. Today's effort made some of Len's cock ups look text book.
  21. NL teams don't have promoters, they are chairmen.
