  1. If Barker wants to stay and he can learn a new line around our track or learn how to cut back then he would be worth giving another season, let's be honest, I doubt he would have a worse one, although it obviously lacks ambition on his part. Kozza Smith could provide plenty of backup for Ben, or maybe Rosen. I would definitely keep Cameron and if he wants to continue Ritchie. I wouldn't have morten, and I am not sure about Rohan, is he going to get much better? Maybe a bit, but not a lot i don't think, his style is awkward and he seems to get involved in plenty of crashes, I would sell on now and try and make a profit. I would also be busting a gut trying to get the services of Lambert if at all possible. I would then see what points we have left and find the best riders that fit.
  2. How about kids always free with a paying adult. Next week is British touring cars final round, guess what, kids are free. I know a few extra people that will be going because of this. Someone else came up with an idea of 10 entry and cheaper alcohol and they said that would also get plenty more through the gate. The sport or entertainment as it is just doesn't appeal to the people it should be trying to attract How many extra people would we get going back into top league? And for how long? The biggest problem is value for money, and your evenings entertainment. What's going to get new people in or people back and keep them coming back? I think most clubs gates have fallen a fair bit over recent seasons.
  3. Omg you can't come on here and criticize the promotion lol. But you are totally right. Very few incentives or ideas to get the public through the gates.
  4. There are often good races and I often turn round to super blue and say, the crowd are going made or loving it or something like that, and you just look around, nothing, no one clapping, no one cheering. It is strange. I dropped my pen the other week and that made more noise. Getting the crowd closer together would help, but speedway fans are a strange bunch of people and get very sulky if they can't sit in their normal spot. Although we are not allowed air horns, there must be other noise making implements we can use.
  5. You are both right we do need new life breathed into the club. I am sure a lot of it has something to do with the total lack of atmosphere. If there was atmosphere and noise and a more uplifted crowd, I think it would then at least seem interesting. Other tracks manage to produce atmosphere and it does seem to make a difference when I visit.
  6. That's the problem isn't it, we are not in a great position to rejoin the top flight. It would still mean borrowing plenty of riders again. What we dropped down to do we haven't really done. Could we really afford to pay top money for a couple of top riders?
  7. Do we really want to go back in the top league and be wooden spoon contenders again? A meeting every few weeks? Seems people have forgotten how bad it was when we were last there. When we dropped down we were meant to be re building for the future, apart from 2 riders, that hasn't exactly happened has it. If we were back in the top flight think it would be suicide. It would be great though having some matches against some of the teams mentioned.
  8. I was thinking that too, but maybe it would be a points limit of 35, so it wouldn't be so bad. Although having Nicholls as a number 1 is a complete no no, ask any Coventry fan.
  9. So i guess with our season over it could be time to bring one of these threads back into play.
  10. Wow, is that the same Worrall that was dropped by Newcastle, well done him.
  11. Looks like even cam has succumbed to the end of season glum
  12. Great performance by Sneddon, i am sure on his last visit he scored zero. I was one that wanted Klindt, certainly don't now, he can obviously only ride slick dust bowls. And to think he used to constantly score double points against us when in elite league. Just goes to prove how bad our elite league teams used to be. I know we had guest, but on current form over the past 4 or 5 meetings we have been pretty below par, even if you discount recent injuries. They say it's not how you start a season its how you finish, and what a terrible finish it was. Roll on 2014. Oh nearly forgot, well done monarchs, good luck in the final.
  13. Shocking Ipswich and shocking dirty cheating gating tart guests.
  14. So predictable, klindt jumps through the tapes. I am actually starting to hope we lose.
  15. Oh dear Bach tried yet another jump start, but this time straight through the tapes. Why don't he just try sitting still for once. Same story different week.
  16. Ha ha, well who would of guessed, first rolling flyer of the night goes to Bach. The gay man spotted it though, Damn
  17. I don't see anyone stopping cook, maybe cam in heat 1, so it may depend on cook to do some team riding tonight.
  18. Well according to twitter its still on tonight, but that often means nothing
  19. Was he chasing the dirt? Very rare to see him do that to overtake anyone. Did he actually overtake anyone?
  20. They probably probably prep it really grippy this week, which it should have been last week
  21. Both cam and Ritchie have been brilliant, and along with klindt would be a must for me for next season. Klindt in, morten out, makes perfect sense to me.
  22. Will be interesting to see how many rolling flyers, oops I mean good starts that Bach can get away with with the witch on his chest. That's if it's on and I bother going.
