  1. Wow, even more away points, even with under performing reserves and no Cameron. Well done witches.
  2. Think I will wait until the latest I can before deciding to set off for this meeting or not.
  3. So why is there a problem? What started it? And what can be done to cure the problem?
  4. Did the bears number 1 not realise he was warned after his first race? Only to do the same thing again his second race getting himself excluded
  5. I doubt we would choose Newcastle, but you never know what with injuries and things
  6. At least we know how to get the starting gate working unlike Peterborough when they held the fours.
  7. Nah it wasn't that, most of Redcar riders were awful, just like they were again last night.
  8. Wow, there really wasn't much interest on here about this meeting.
  9. Although we were okay, I thought they were totally useless tonight, they really didn't seem up for any sort of racing. Wilkinson was by far their best rider and put up a really good show, and his reward? Not getting an extra ride in 15, didn't get that, or when they didn't give him the black and white helmet. Well done to Ritchie for finally winning a race. Do they not have any fans that come on here?
  10. Sorry, I thought it was 15 max. Like I said though, they will be paid in other ways. probably, but paid other stuff that's not points money. If there is a maximum points money then there is a maximum points money, but nothing to say they couldn't be paid another 2 maybe 3 hundred attendance money or sponsorship money per meeting. I'm sure they all have different ways of having their money made up. Maybe I'm only talking about a rider I know
  11. It's a maximum of 15 a point anyway, but some clubs pay a bit of travel and will pay for your tire and oil.
  12. In that case, Lewis and stark are the best options, so we did okay.
  13. Is Lewis the best we could have got? If the answer is yes then I'm happy with that choice.
  14. The problem with a grippy track like that is, the back end doesn't break away which obviously means your heading towards the fence, this then makes less confident riders in those conditions to shut off, which then straightens you up sending you towards the fence even more. Obviously the best thing to do in those conditions is have very very big testicles and keep it wound on, but then as you see from adam rohan and then Adam again you hit the grip, your front wheel lifts and sends you towards or through the fence at pretty high speed. Personally I would have been riding a pretty big rear sprocket to help on a track like that, obviously some of the riders thought they could race it with their usual start gearing and set up.
  15. I'm not sure it's the size of our track, but mainly more to do with the amount of grip we have for a smaller track. Surely there are more smaller tracks than big ones, so a rider racers more than 50 percent of his meetings on smaller tracks. Some big track riders can ride lakeside ok because it's always so slick
  16. So why are there not another set of eyes on the other side of the track, it's not exactly hard is it? Speedway gets a lot of things wrong, surely that's an easy thing that could be done to help get decisions right. You are talking about riders losing money here for be excluded for nothing. I know if my wages at work were cut short by someone else's mistake, I would want something to be done about it.
  17. Some strange decisions tonight unless they have changed the rules. Heat 2 surely Barrett wasn't racing for 3 and half laps so shouldn't have got a point, Adam was still racing even though 3 quarters a lap ahead of third and nearly binned a few times. Ellis gos through the fence after finding too much grip the same as roh an did, but this time Ricky excluded for doing nothing although it should have been Adam. And doesn't anyone else see that the tapes in the middle go up much slower because they are so slack. It looks like the rider on the inside keeps making jump starts but most of the time they are not. And then when jump starts are clearly made, they are very rarely pulled back. As someone else has pointed out track far to grippy early on, it really made some riders look terrible, not a great advert for our track which has been great most of the season, hope it doesn't put the Berwick fans from bringing some great travelling support on their next visit.
  18. Must admit, one of the most boring meetings I've ever seen for racing.
  19. Good good, we could do with a bit of noise and atmosphere.
  20. That's the thing, I bet most of us started going when we were kids and still go now. Every club everywhere should be doing all they can to get the kids through the gates, and like Jason I would also give kids free entry every week, I would allow 2 free children with every paying adult, as kids would probably go more if they could take a friend. I often had a friend with me when I was younger, and they still also go too. I just don't think promotions, are forward thinking enough, they would rather not lose 100 pound a week now to make an extra 1500 in a few years time.
