  1. I'm not sure it's the size of our track, but mainly more to do with the amount of grip we have for a smaller track. Surely there are more smaller tracks than big ones, so a rider racers more than 50 percent of his meetings on smaller tracks. Some big track riders can ride lakeside ok because it's always so slick
  2. So why are there not another set of eyes on the other side of the track, it's not exactly hard is it? Speedway gets a lot of things wrong, surely that's an easy thing that could be done to help get decisions right. You are talking about riders losing money here for be excluded for nothing. I know if my wages at work were cut short by someone else's mistake, I would want something to be done about it.
  3. Some strange decisions tonight unless they have changed the rules. Heat 2 surely Barrett wasn't racing for 3 and half laps so shouldn't have got a point, Adam was still racing even though 3 quarters a lap ahead of third and nearly binned a few times. Ellis gos through the fence after finding too much grip the same as roh an did, but this time Ricky excluded for doing nothing although it should have been Adam. And doesn't anyone else see that the tapes in the middle go up much slower because they are so slack. It looks like the rider on the inside keeps making jump starts but most of the time they are not. And then when jump starts are clearly made, they are very rarely pulled back. As someone else has pointed out track far to grippy early on, it really made some riders look terrible, not a great advert for our track which has been great most of the season, hope it doesn't put the Berwick fans from bringing some great travelling support on their next visit.
  4. Must admit, one of the most boring meetings I've ever seen for racing.
  5. Good good, we could do with a bit of noise and atmosphere.
  6. That's the thing, I bet most of us started going when we were kids and still go now. Every club everywhere should be doing all they can to get the kids through the gates, and like Jason I would also give kids free entry every week, I would allow 2 free children with every paying adult, as kids would probably go more if they could take a friend. I often had a friend with me when I was younger, and they still also go too. I just don't think promotions, are forward thinking enough, they would rather not lose 100 pound a week now to make an extra 1500 in a few years time.
  7. What is classed as a bumper crowd these days? 1200? 1500? I was expecting last week's to be bigger than it was, although it was probably one of the biggest this season. All 3 point home win, witches by 10
  8. Personally I think his website looks pretty good, you just have to look at it through a younger persons eyes, like he is. All depends on how old you are i guess, I also think his bikes stand out which is good if you are a sponsor.
  9. Think he will need to start winning heat ones constantly to get into this top 10
  10. Well done to Somerset, doing what they can to help customers, hope they get 2 good gates because of it.
  11. Can't believe this is still going on. Come on boys and girls, time to call it quits
  12. The viewing at Ipswich is more or less perfect all around the track. It will just be down to where you will prefer to sit or stand.
  13. Blimey, is all this cook and Barker rubbish still going on.
  14. Well Derek at reserved surely makes a strong team even stronger
  15. Yes he was always spitting his dummy out and not bitting his tongue, but then he used to let his racing do the talking. At Kenny used to back up his dummy spitting by being a very good rider. wow that's something to be proud of :-/
  16. That's the thing, cook should have just bit his tongue and beaten Barker on the track, the same as riders like Kenny Carter used to
  17. I've been saying for years that speedway should be going down the x games route. It is an extreme sport and should be sold as just that. The family image is as said like train spotters, with their big fat bellies, outlandish bright coats that look pretty daft, a sandwich pack up for the evening and a clip board, do you really think the young cool kids want to be associated with a sport like this. It should be reaching out to the bmx, skateboard, freestyle x fighters type of youngsters.
  18. Love it, well done Ben. At least something good is now coming from it.
  19. Hey who cares, we can blame Craig for that crash like some Edinburgh fans are blaming Ben for tonight's goings on. We are nearly all blind when it comes to our own team.
  20. well you just don't seem to be able to say anything without mentioning Barker, which you have again.
