Poole Pirates Vs Redcar Bears 5th June
Odds On replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Has the paint dried yet? -
Birmingham v Ipswich KOC June 3rd
Odds On replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just a general observation and possibly the big white elephant in the room....how the hell do the Brummies afford Freddie Lindgren, if/when he scores a maximum, that will cost nearly half the gate receipts on its own! -

Could Freddie be about to do the biggest u-turn in the history of the sport and sign for Ippo? -
Leicester v Oxford 27th May
Odds On replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably get shot down for this. Abi brings nothing to the show, no in depth or history of the sport...for all of her knowledge you may as well have a rider doing what she does, better knowledge and will be able to give more in depth interviews with riders and links...when Oxford had 3 riders on the track, she hasn't the charisma or relationship with a rider/team to ask and joke about it. Janowski, lets all be honest he isn't going to be a cheap asset to Oxford, Looks way off of it for a GP rider. Lawson, impressed me, riding at #2 is one of the hardest positions in a team, fully deserved his heat 15 appearance. Tungate, a real battler but not sure he's an out and out #1. Track was far to slick, devoid of entertainment which resulted in a poor advert for the sport Drone shot, atrocious and needs binning until it actually works. -
Thank you...that is great and is a massive help...thank you to everyone who has helped, probably seem like pointless and annoying questions to some!!
-
Thank you. Do you have to enter a code or something similar?
-
well this gets murkier!!..so i have a smart tv, if i enter the BSN into a search engine - is it as easy as that...obviously i would subscribe to the channel.
-
Thank you for the replies, appreciate them.

I'm thinking about subscribing to BSN...is it worth it and is it any good?.....also how do you stream it to your TV?...many thanks in advance.

Ipswich v Sheffield play off final 1st leg
Odds On replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
it was during the second bend so every chance another rider could of been there, using Hume as an example out gated Doyle in a earlier race!...im not saying he should of left room - merely saying that there was never going to be room to go round the outside of him -

Hume is young, still very raw but with the right guidance and someone taking him under there wing, he'll be a decent rider, time will tell. Doyle isn't dirty, but he verges on the edge of it, he didn't leave Lambert any room and knew full well he was there, not a problem with it but a lesser skilfull rider would of been through the fence. Speedway needs entertainment, rightly or wrongly people are talking about last nights meeting, which is the rarity for speedway nowadays! -

Ipswich got lucky with a few refereeing decision but that's sport. Hume is pure entertainment-still raw but can gate and if "schooled" will be a heat leader in the future. Chris Holder looked very poor, is he the new Troy Batchelor! Rob Lambert, showed great skill to avoid being fenced in heat 15 but there was never going to be a gap to go around Doyle. Track wasn't that bad if you attacked it. Emil and Doyle looked on a different level. Still think this final has some mileage left in it. Eurosport, just don't get what that Abi lass brings to the show, more often than not she is in the way in the pits, riders don't look interested in her questions. -
two ways of looking at this, now i would imagine there aren't many promoters if any making a profit out of the sport, so where does that golden egg come from?...we all know riders deserve a good crust for their bravery etc...however i think the day will come when a rider will not be able to do a deal for x amount each week/meeting/point...now lets say if the income average £5000 per meeting, the expenditure was £2000 per meeting that leaves £3000 profit per meeting, the promoter takes roughly 25% the remainder is spread then between the riders....any other way then the promoter see's himself in the position they are in now...offering good money in February only to find out in June they have done their proverbials...

Nick Morris verdict a question
Odds On replied to davieb1's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
just to add, did you know that a well known tyre manufacturer had a chip in tyres that showed when a rider is/was overweight. -
ifs buts and maybe's.....the long and short of it is, if you do not provide a specimen when asked to, whether its your first or hundredth then it should be treated as a failure...it isn't rocket science folks.

British Final 2023
Odds On replied to Hackett's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
The negativity on here is unbelievable...Dan Bewley coming in for some uncalled for comments, people moan when top class riders dont ride here, yet when they do they cop abuse! Belle Vue is by far the best track to hold this event at.....instead of the negativity turn the glass up the other way round! -
no not at all. There has always been rumours within the sport, model airplane fuel, big carbs,, titanium rods etc etc.

i know this has been brought up in previous seasons!....are some riders finding a helpful edge over their rivals by using illegal equipment?
