  1. Makes me sad to be a brit because so many on here do nothing but moan about everything
  2. It wouldn't play on my browser so had to download 'dplay' app and it was easy to find on there.
  3. May have to get someone else to replace Barker if the rumours are true about him failing a drug test?
  4. Not Witches fans though on current showings. Batch did very well against Belle Vue last week, and has a better record in Ht15's than King.
  5. Did Holder fall in this meeting? For a wildcarded 'GP star' his score was low and I was wondering if he'll be at Foxhall on Thursday. .
  6. Always a competitive meeting, looking forward to it.
  7. Were you there? He definitely was trying but just made poor starts and did pass a couple of times. It was a pretty good meeting tonight, plenty of action.
  8. I also do not like the new surface and think that does have an impact Harris has a good record at Lynn so no surprise he's loving it.
  9. The racing was OK but mainly waiting for the inevitable pass by the BV riders. Better gating by BV and it would have been a different story. Too one sided to get excited from my perspective.
  10. I wouldn't have thought Eurosport choose the fixture.
  11. A number of factors. It isn't obviously just the track which affects the quality of racing (and that to me is not necessarily just passing) but the riders involved too. In my view, the engine manufacturers and tuners are killing the sport because the bikes are so unpredictable on anything other than totally smooth slick tracks. They'll be riding on concrete next
  12. I will be watching. I've enjoyed the Eurosport coverage and the debacle at Sheffield was obviously not their fault.
  13. You may be right although there is a difference between self employed for tax purposes and having an employment status of self employed. It is complex though https://www.gov.uk/employment-status/worker
  14. I don't think they are self employed anyway - at least not by the UK definition. They are contracted workers, which is different. If you are self employed you can choose to work or not to work as you see fit so I think is why 'Bosman' could not be applied here and if they sign a contract under those terms they have to stick to it or withdraw from it and face the consequences.
  15. Me too, but I still remember when, for one year only, they decided to nominate Harris for Cardiff rather than the BF winner/the rider who finished highest and wasn't a full time GP rider. I remember because I think that was decided after the British Final not before.
  16. As it is no longer a qualification route to the world championships, then it is merely an 'open' event and therefore the BSPA can have whoever they like in it. Inevitably there would also need to be agreement reached on the money on offer to those competing.
  17. I thin k it was doomed to go over curfew, not just for the fence problem but the full two minutes being used up by riders due to bike trouble or restarts due to tape touching etc. It did seem like one thing after another even after the restart - the gods weren't being kind. I do think refs can do more though to reduce delays. Two minutes on for each race once previous race riders have returned to the pits. None of this extra time mullarkey if you have two races in a row - I did three in a row once whilst being rushed to start the next after the previous one and I was nowhere near as fit as the riders these days. If there's a restart bring them straight up to tapes. The engines are fine for 16 laps as proved by the 16 lapper, clutches etc. can cope easily with two starts as some do a couple of practice start before the race proves. People don't like delays these days with naff all to do if you're standing there watching - change that side of it and then breaks could become more palatable.
