Well having only seen the racing from heat 13 i am only glad i missed the first 12 if they were the same as the last 11 races. That was one borefest with the racing done after bend 2.The only way is up now at least. -

Does the 28 days start from when he agreed to ride,or from his first actual meeting for Poole. His 28 days have finished now from when he agreed to ride, but hey haven't from the date of his first meeting. See Newman is riding for Ipswich tonight. -

It is a joke, why arrange a fixture when your main reserve is missing and you are not able to have a facility for him. Also the management obviously knew a while ago about Kai not being there so why not announce it when known.Same with Cook at Somerset last night,Dale said he asked him straight after the Lynn meeting 9 days ago so why not announce it then. Why is everything all hush hush in speedway.Give the supporters a bit of time to make up their minds whether they want to attend the meetings or not bother. -
Somerset Rebels Vs Kings Lynn Stars : 28th April.

In your opinion though would you have thought Huckenbeck would have came last in that race? -

Should have replaced him with Shanes then and then put Huckenbeck in ht14 in place of Shanes imo. I wasn't impressed with Dale at Rye when he seemed pretty happy with his friends immediately after our loss.He should have been upset with what he had seen and most certainly been having words with a rider or two. -

Good result for the Stars, but imo it was against probably the weakest team in the league at the moment. I also think Huckenbeck could have been used more.I wasn't there but i feel when your reserve is pulling in some big points you have to utilise him more.Ok you don't use him more if the whole team had scored points but on this occassion Porsing hadn't.Somerset didn't think twice by replacing their number one with a reserve tonight. Not sure whether Dale would have it in him to do this, time will tell i suppose. -
Rye House V Poole 22/4/17. 7pm.
tellboy replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why do people keep using the excuse of so and so don't know the track. This will be the case for most teams that visit Rye and Somerset this season.Anyway KK and Hans are meant to be top riders so i'm sure they themselves wouldn't use that excuse. -

Hate to say this because i don't like sticking up for Poole, but is there a rule to state you have have 2 GB qualified riders in your team? There is a rule however stating that you must include at least 2 riders who have competed in or are eligible to enter the National Development League(conference).I guess BWD has rode in or is eligible for that(unsure) -
Wish K.Lynn would do the same. But i think we will probably stick with the same 1-7 unless an injury occurs.Sport is about winning especially at home in front of your own fans who pay their money to see their team win.

Woffy and Kerr for Holder and Bailey with 0.02 to spare😉.Seriously we have to start pulling our socks up or we will be out of the race before June is here.Holder very disappointing scores so far. Ok one bad meeting from three, but to have three isn't good from the Stars number one. -

Work, work bloody work .Hope it's a good meeting for all and a Stars win -
Not sure what the situation is regarding the NL riders.I know Birmingham ride on Wednesdays but i'm sure it would be more for away matches and the odd home one.Incidentally Bailey's NL club has the same race night too.

To be honest Rayleigh i don't think many Lynn fans are really moaning as much as you seem to make out. -

Don't know what the problem is with him.He just seemed slow to me last night whether that's mechanical or in his head i don't know.Or maybe age is just catching up with him.All riders will start to drop away eventually the longer they go on,all at varying times obviously.Maybe this is his time. -

Totally agree. And they all seemed to give 100% last night.Just lost out to the faster starting Rockets who certainly know the set ups from the off. Incidentally after race 4 when all our riders had done a race each to get their set ups right(GRW )we won the meeting by 2pts,by 4pts if you wanted to include the TD. -

Of course they will be equipped to go racing. But you know riders often change sprockets during a meeting to try and get the best out of their bikes. You mention Harris he gated twice,he will always make 1 gate in a meeting anyway,he always does.At the end of the day we done well to come away with an 8 point loss after the disastrous start we had. Onto track prep now,can anyone tell me why the water bowser always avoided putting water down on bend one. -
I wouldn't want to see him cast adrift completely, but he is still with the Young Stars and at Scunthorpe learning his trade at a higher level.3 leagues is possibly to much anyway at his young age. This is why we need his position to be a shared one.
-
I have said the same about Bailey. His gating is atrocious, you need to be able to gate now and again to get some points. He hasn't earnt a real point yet.He needs imo to stick to the championship and NL get some gating skills together then give it another go.At the moment he is the poorest of no 7s in the league imo. Danyon Hume and JPB look better prospects at the moment but they both ride Wednesdays, but maybe alright for away meetings or the occassional home meeting we have that isnt on a Wednesday. On a side note it's good to see King's Lynn allowing rain off tickets to be used for re-admission to any league match for the rest of the season.Having a chat with Rob last night and he clarified this and so did Nathan via email. This is another little step forward i believe.

No it's not hard setting up bikes, but to get it spot on for various surfaces,grippy/slick starts track sizes etc is.Sprocket sizes, clutch set up.It could take several races to get it where you want and it don't always work out. For Porsing last night he gated very well and this was so very important.Whoever hit the front last night won the race.
