middlo has his own business commitments and for him to spend his time and effort on a job that isnt worth it financially, says much about his love for the sport. it seems though that most people assume he is always going to be around, which is not necessarily true. such a job is so taxing when a person gives so much of himself, i think the sport should take his position year by year and be thankfull for his service to the sport.. only one point! wait till next year and hopefully he decides to give it another go. way to go to the whole team, meetings like this are nothing but good for the sport..

ya hit on a very sensitive subject at an inopportune time quite frankly. there is not another team manager who has more support from supporters and his riders alike. he lives, breathes speedway, and he is smarter than the average person as well. no one, categorically, could have done a better job. he gets the most from what he has been given..the man is rising to legend status, regardless of what the bean counters say... now having said that, you are truly entitled to your opinion, and a few of us are entitled to vehemently disagree with you. thats speedway..

ron preston was truly a huge talent who would have gone on to greater things had he not trusted a certain rider who stuffed him in the fence and ruined his knee, thereby causing early retirement. always popular, very gifted and much loved by his supporters. never realised his full potential in my opinion..
