Very good post.. -
Nobody could do anything different to what Neil did, of course, i wouldn't expect you to believe that.. We are simply miles behind the rest of the European countries. and one other useless piece of imformation, no Elite League, no Team GB. Then perhaps all the "So called" Team managers on here will be really happy.. But then, you'l have nothing to moan about.. Oh ang on, there's always Poole and Matt Ford.. All that said, the most pleasing aspect for me was to see Bridger ride the bike properly taking it seriously and not showboating.

Funny that, i was waiting for a comment like that. Had we beat the Latvians and the USA, somebody would have said, well, we ought to but we are crap for just beating them, on the otherhand you say we should have beaten them so we are crap for not. You want it allways.. Tell you what, like all the other so called Team managers on here, why don't you write to the powers that be and offer your services, im sure you could do better.... Not!!! -

Well you would say that wouldn't you, coming from Swindon. And if Scott Nicholls could have been arsed to ride Tai didn't run a last and Bombers Kill switch didn't come out we may have have done better. Tai and Bomber appart, Bottom line is, although i was very impressed with Bridgers attitude, and Barker tried and could have scored more, they are patently not good enough, NEITHER is Worrell Cook and even King and Kennett, and anybody else you can think of... We are a mile behind the other Europeans, But thats not Neils fault, he can only work with the riders at his disposal. And don't say, well it depends how he uses them, the bottom line is we are not, good enough.. You can't turn a selling plater into a Derby horse. Simples.. -

You really are having a larf. Save for Tai's last and Bombers kill switch coming loose which it shouldn't everybody did what was asked of them. And don't tell me Cook and Worrell or Kennett would have done better than Barker and Bridger, because they wouldn't. Bridger should have scored more for lack of experience, and rode properly without any showboating, and Barker forfieted 2 points to help the team tacticallty. Just what the hell do you want. We are devoid strength in depth and for some reason speed on these big tracks. But unless you have several thousands of pounds to send the lesserlight boys engines to one of the big tuners, no names no pacdrill, because those boys do not have that sort of money. Your sort are really never satified. Oh, and as for Neil chucking the job, that won't happen... -

I don't know where your getting the HUGE mistakes from. I mean, its not as though they have a great depth of riders to choose from who are all international class. But like you say, Bridger and Barker deserve a run out, lets hope they put their best foot forwards.. -
Neil hasn't destroyed Eddies confidence, he's not a kid any more, he's big enough and ugly enough to handle it. So tell me what Mark Screeny Havvy Rosco uncle tom cobbly or Rob Lyon who's already been tried can do better than Neil with what Neil has at his disposal. At least Neil is trying something different, and i will be very interseted to see how Bridger reacts to this call up.. its in his hands.

I see absolutely no reason why Neil should quit, but you are right. But you try explaining that to some on here, they suddenly cop a deafn. Must be a Poole thing... -

And quite right, so there should be Phil. enough to cover expences and a decent bit on top. Marky is quite right, you work hard to get to the top of your profession, and it doesn't come easy in any sport, you should be rewarded accordinly.. -

For once Marky i agree with you. You get to the top of your choosen sport i would expect to be paid some sort of fee and not just expences. Yes i also agree, it should be a privelige to represent your country in any sport, but you should also be paid a fee accordingly. Some might say Scott let us down, but its only right you get paid a fee. -

The problem is you can't turn average riders into world class riders. and putting an arm round them will not be enough if they continue to get tailed off, and you certainly can't give a kid a bollocking, otherwise if he wraps himself round an airfence it would be on your consience for the rest of your life. . And as i said, we are streets behind the Poles Danes and Aussies. So whats the answer?
