I suppose they could do. But it would be a hell of a lot of work installing them. Although if they work properly it could save meetings. Although should it rain again during the meeting then it becomes a waste of time. You cannot take lengthy breaks during the meeting, most tracks have curfews as you know. So its one of those, dammed if you do, dammed if you dont.
Thats a good post mate. I defy all the mouthy people on here to spend a day lying covers then taking them up, in the pouring rain. it is not, a 10 minute job. they would run for the hills. You can beat most conditions, but sometimes even with all the equipment its nigh on imposible. Thats our lovely British weather for you..
You cant mate. People slag Matt off, but he's worked hard to get this up and running. Remember, we had several rain off's including the 70th Aniversary meeting, those alone would have cost him and we hadn't even turned a wheel. Easy life this promoting, eh..
We get all 14 riders doing practice laps and starts after the parade, they are stagered and there has never been a problem. but they dont hammer round the bends. unless there is only 2-3 left out.
How many years has he been doing the job, how many Trophies. I think he's doing ok. Just like football when they leave the pits its out of Neils hands. Believe me, he does his job in the pits. There's only so much you can say. And before some smart Ar-- says its not football its speedway, fooballers leave the tunnel its out of the managers hands.
What do you market, sandcastles ... Havnt you got a Somerset thread to go on, instead of hanging round the Poole threads all the time. You would think you was a closit poole fan the amount of time you spend on them..
Yes gating is always the key but shouldnt be an issue on a big track like KL, or BV, Swindon is more of a gaters track than the other two, and that is also a big track. its essential on tracks like monmore lakeside and eastie etc, but not so important on the big galloping tracks.
Agreed, James is doing his job, 2 points at monmore is ok, if the others do there jobs they can carry him. Matt said this season will be hard for him. But with him now riding 2 nights a week he will improve, but it wont be overnight. Kildemand was poor last night, and i would certainly expect better at KL..
