  1. Unfortunately Gem they dont make it clear on here. no suprise with some really. Oh look, i have a troll following me around now..
  2. How many years has he been doing the job, how many Trophies. I think he's doing ok. Just like football when they leave the pits its out of Neils hands. Believe me, he does his job in the pits. There's only so much you can say. And before some smart Ar-- says its not football its speedway, fooballers leave the tunnel its out of the managers hands.
  3. Only four meetings in mate, lets give the lad a chance eh..
  4. If its the same track it was then it shouldnt be a problem.
  5. What do you market, sandcastles ... Havnt you got a Somerset thread to go on, instead of hanging round the Poole threads all the time. You would think you was a closit poole fan the amount of time you spend on them..
  6. Yes gating is always the key but shouldnt be an issue on a big track like KL, or BV, Swindon is more of a gaters track than the other two, and that is also a big track. its essential on tracks like monmore lakeside and eastie etc, but not so important on the big galloping tracks.
  7. Agreed, James is doing his job, 2 points at monmore is ok, if the others do there jobs they can carry him. Matt said this season will be hard for him. But with him now riding 2 nights a week he will improve, but it wont be overnight. Kildemand was poor last night, and i would certainly expect better at KL..
  8. No problem there, Chris can slot straight back in.
  9. Yep but at least we got a point there. This should also suit us. I was very disapointed with Kildemands input last night, and Shpaniack was no better. Brady did his job as to a certin extent did james and a couple of the others, but we need to find more, starting tomororrow night. Wolverhampton is a bogey track for most clubs because of the nature of the track, it will always have home advantage.
  10. As i said, im not going over it again. You can never use high content of clay on our track. We have two drains going out to the sea and apparantly french drains,, but the tide offsets the drainage and if it P's down it makes it even worse.. In the [summer] its dries very quickly reguardless off the tide, in the spring and autumn its different, im not going to explain why. Glyn understands that. Years ago i would go and get bags of clay dust for john from wilks to mix/grade into the track, that worked very well, you can put it on but you cannot take it off. Glyn knows what he's doing and he's had only 2 meetings to prepare it properly, even then its been touch and go due to our crappy weather he will work it out. Now im saying no more on the subject. i have no need to.
  11. Lets hope they start tomorrow night, KL's track will suit them..
  12. Steve who's steve ?. carry on building your sandcastles, leave the speedway to those who know. Clearly you dont read posts. Stick to Somerset.
  13. Mate, im sure that Matt has things in hand. he will not do a KK this season...
  14. We were bottom of the league mid season one year mate, and still come back and won it... Im sure that Matt has things in hand.
  15. Difficult track Steve, very specialised, but i did expect more from Kildemand to be honest.
  16. I thought a point would be posible. But a couple again under performed. Including Kildemand..
  17. Try radio solent, but not sure they are covering the meeting..
  18. Yeh, Stress cannot live here anymore. I touch wood have come out of this op a lot better than some do, ok im still taking it easy, and doing everything by the book. My surgeon is a brilliant surgeon and worth his weight in Gold, but i still have a fair way to go. just have to be careful what i do. I dont even shout Speedway star anymore. People know who i am so i have no need to. But the fans at Poole on a wednesday have been brilliant, always asking after my welbeing. But i like to win, and i hope we start to pick up. We need to.
  19. Yep when i first started going in 1970, they must have been averaging 5000 + Yeh your right Clive, Gordon is also on the SCB..
  20. Yep very true. The knotts were sinominous with the poole set up for years in the 60's and 70's. We still have one wandering the stadium weekly.. Lets also not forget Gordon Pairman, a promoter in his own right and a very good edition to the club. Gordons knowledge is invaluable , and regulary deputises at meetings for Matt. his knowledge of riders and the rule book is very good. He's is always fasinating to listen to.
  21. But i havnt mentioned Killer Shanes or Chris on the thread. After all, it is still about the meeting, so poole fans are really entitled to mention about the team surely ? Yes im not to bad thank you, i saw my consultant and surgeon 2 weeks ago, and they are very happy with my progress. The fluids on the forehead and side of the head is a pain but things could have been a hell of a lot worse. I still get very stressed and paranoid. The tumour was 2 inches round. I still have a way to go yet.
  22. If it wasnt for our dearly departed Pete Ansell we would never have had speedway at poole again..
  23. Thank you. Its a meeting thread which involves us.
