I think it would have had quite enough by now. You just want to hope it doesnt do it again tomorrow. I would very much doubt they will be watering in the morning if the track got what i saw in manchester earlier.. your curator will spend the morning turning it over, then if it doesnt rain you might get away with a bowser late afternoon.

Poole v Swindon SGB Prem A. 18th April 2018
Starman2006 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Dear me, ive never known so many anti poole moaning minis on here. Ive just sat here for the last 15 mins cringing. The people they should be moaning about is there own clubs -
Nothing wrong with your promotion and Team manager, they do a good job ive said this before, if you cared to read my posts., im talking about any other club they would love to have Matt as threre promoter. But just to appease you i will write it word for word there you go, you can now go back to playing with your Abacus..

I think Berre is a plus for them rather than R/R, but as you say, if our boys get dialled in quickly then it could be interesting, its a track as we all know you can open it up and go flat out, a lot of water has passed under the bridge sinse i last watched a meeting up there on TV, so i cannot remember the lines, but im sure our boys have seen the DVD's. If i recall, Tai Woffenden showed how to ride that track.
-
Thats very nice of you to say that. But i think it will be a bit closer than you think. Our boys will find the big open spaces of BV right up there street, but its early days yet, and our boys in this country have barely turned a wheel. The team is built on potential, but they all have to come to the party..
-
It will, Glyns very professional, believe me.
-
Steve, when we get some settled weather the track will be the best its been sinse 0-11. As ive said umpteen times, its nigh on imposible to prepare a track properly how you would like it if you have near permanant rain. Glyns work will reap rewards and the riders were very happy with things on P&P day so it can only get better.
-
Yeh he's in good form granted, and as you say, it will be nigh on imposible to maintain that sort of form. But its still debatable as to how many points he would or would not have scored at Poole. 3 good scores in 8 is not a good average, so you just dont know, he could have scored 10, or he could have scored 6. Who knows..
-
Mate, any NEW track is far easier to maintain than an old one, you just have to keep on top of it. if you have a curator that knows his stuff it will not be a problem.
-
What do you really expect mate, we've had buckets of rain down here for weeks. Glyn did very well to get it turned over graded and packed to a racable state. He told me it was like a swamp in the morning when he came in. And you cannot put machinery on a sodden track otherwise you will do more damage than good, You will tear the track to shreads in the tyres. Glyn and Matt busted a gut to get that meeting on, way beyond the call of duty. Just think yourself lucky you saw some speedway, otherwise you would have had the hump after a 400 mile round trip..

Sorry you may not approve, but its true.

Any other club would like Matt as there promoter..

Get off my case re my spelling i think im entitled to make the odd mistake after what ive been through as i say, you are welcome to swap places... Nothing wrong with our track, Glyn did very well to get the meeting on given it was under water in the morning. it will be far better when we get some settled weather and turns 1-2 bed in properly which they havnt really had a chance to do.. All its done down here is rain.
-
Thank you Lisa. I only thought kids played there game. Still..

Good so glad you can spell..
