And you mean keep Kildemand as well? Yeh, it could be done, but Im not sure that Kildemand would want a whole season commitment. I sit here and think as well mate, but its nothing to do with speedway believe me.. Trying to keep my mind occupied is the hardest bit. -
But not pirates of the carribean..

I dont think Steve is happy for Brady to score 3 points at home. And neither would i think Brady was.. There's nothing wrong with our management. Brady lodges at Neils during the season. And i really dont think Neil is the sort of person who would bombared Bradys with do's and dont's every day. -
I think you will find the majority of poole fans reconise the walk on song. Its the clubs 70th aniversary so its been brought back for that. From my point of veiw its uplifting and jolly
-
You got a 3rd one then ?
-
I agree, but as Poole Keith said, it is a cost cutting measure and every club will need to save money in some shape or form. There are a hell of a lot of outgoings to run a speedway club and things do not get cheaper. I really dont know where Burntfaceman thinks the club is going to find the money for all these things he mentioned. Sofar as matching Kevlars are concerned really and truely the riders should pay for there's. That will go down well...
-
So you would rather pirates of the carribean ?
-
Appologies i mistook you for somebody else who spends all there time moaning. See my post in reply to Simon C.

We have a main sponsor in Volvo Cars. I would like to think this is a one off for our 70th aniversary year. The walk on music is good, brings back memories for the older fans, its also very uplifting, far better than Pirates of the carribean imo. But maybe as a compromise they could change back to team kevlars but keep the bibs and keep the music.

Good post mate. Monmore is a big home advantage but it can be mastered. Magic used to hate it, but once he mastered it he was away. Kyle Newman also got it mastered and i was very suprised they didnt come in for him. Gating is a must round monmore but that is only one ingrediant to mastering the track. Ita not rocket science. -
Matt has a phone in his office mate..
-
Well if you think its that bad dont go. Clearly you have no patience. You are clearly not a fan of Chris, you clearly dont like the track, although you will not listen. There is not a poole fan who was not dissapointed last weds, but you seem to be the only one going on and on about it. Its early days and things will improve. But i doubt you will agree with that either. Umpteen times fans have said we were beaten in all departments, but everybody else has moved on bar you. You cannot blame Glyn for the track, he's had two meetings, its all new to him, we've had so much rain its been untrue, he will get to grips with the track he talks with the riders, it was the same for both sides last weds. it will improve.

Who wouldnt.. -
Likewise. you never read the post properly. did you.

Read the post for gawd sake.

John, and now Glyn will get used to it. In the summer its not a problem, in the spring and Autumn its a bit different. they just have to adapt. But the main thing is we now get some consistant weather, and bends 1-2 have been completely re-laid. Glyns work will be shown to full effect. I also believe he took some dirt off bend 4, you do not need the volume of dirt there. when its heavily watered riders would straighten up. It now appears to be riding better. With Neil Golding now helping Glyn out it will take a bit of the work load off him. People just have to accept, that you can prepare the track the same way on consecutive weds, but it will not ride the same. Neils write up in the Echo y'day was very good. Nobody should panic, it will come, our boys will get to grips with set ups. We just need to gate...
-
There will be a reason for it. Its not just the sea that floods the track. That is not strickly true, moisture comes up, it doesnt flood the track, but mix that with heavy rain at the same time then you do have a problem. primerily on bend 3. Thats why at high tide especially in spring and autumn you have to be a little careful with the watering due to the temperature drop in the evening, on a warm dry day as i said, you can water the bends and home straight liberally up to a point, but you have to be careful on the back straight because the sun goes down quicker behind that glass grandstand and cast a shadow over the track, and heavy watering will just stand Not so important in the summer, as the track dries very quickly, no matter how much water you dump on it. High tide only last for a while then starts to drop. But reguardless of the sea level, if it chucks it down we are in the same boat as any other track in the country.. Thats why after heavy rain the other week, when Glyn went in and the track was a quagmire he did very well to get the meeting on. But even he had doubts.
-
Mate dont bother, you i John Hector and Glyn knows. We also have french drains round the edge of the track over the white line about a foot down.. I didnt know that one untill John told me..
-
It does make a difference Steve. We have two drains that go direct to the sea. When the tide is high moisture comes up on the track especially turn 3, when its low it dries out very quick in the summer. its not an old wives tale mate. Ask John Hector and Glyn.
-
Im not sure, didnt get a chance to look at tide times, but Glyn would have known.
-
Tide can make a big difference, believe it or not..
