I think Chris was always going to be a Poole y'day mate. Same as he will be for P&P day and the big meeting. Chris just needs to ride his bike, his demeanour was very positive y'day and some good scores early on will do his confidence the power of good.

300 is about the right size mate, if i had any gripe about our track is it could be a little wider all round.

Mate, i had a long chat with Glyn today, and im very impressed with what he's trying to do, he explained to me what he's done on turns 1-2, and it makes perfect sence, im not going to give away any trade secrects, but suffice to say, because of this bad weather we have had, it might take 2-3 meetings to get it perfect. and it will be.. Yes it did cut up a biit but that was to be expected with the weather we have had. We will not lose any home advantage because of it... He also agreed with me, you dont need the volume of dirt on 3-4, especially turn 4 where riders were straightening up last year, he's also altured the blade on the tractor and wants to bring in a wonder wheel, i am not a great fan of those, but again he explained to me what it will do for our track. He is also is well aware of the effects the sea tides and table have on the track, he will learn the track set up fast. He talks to Chris who will leaise with the rest of the boys, he has already familierised himself with the rakers and asked them what they do,during and after the meeting, He's very good and very professional. The riders were very happy and Chris was very keen, he was first out, got in plenty of laps and had a spring in his step, as you say, james was happy, i also explained to him what Glyn had done, he raised his eyebrows, I expect Brady to improve again Josh was just testing. Its a confidence thing mate, good smooth track breds confidence, as i said, we will not lose any home advantage. I fully expect the new boys to get in plenty of laps next friday, weather permitting. Matt and Neil were happy. So far so good,

How many Poole fans are looking forward to a good season ? I am !!
-
Yeh i agree with this RIP Vaci Verner.
-
Hello mate, 21 st , sponsors late afternoon fans from 1800 hrs, lets hope the weather starts to play ball.
-
Everything Poole related is to you, but Hey, nobodys perfect...
-
Thats Cookie in a BV suit with a neck brace..
-
Thank you Steve ..
-
As ive said.. But know doubt you wont tell us who this "rider" i doubt you will tell us..
-
Problem is mate, if you have 2 meetings in a week which can be the case unless you can sew you need a spare set, and if you ask any rider they will tell you they have at least 2 sets of Kevlars decked out with the same sponsorship logo's.
-
Times 2..
-
Granted, but the riders will have Kevlars under the bibs, which they will have sponsors logo's.
-
Well, there you go mate.
-
Problem is mate, if they should rip a set in a fall they have to have a replacement set of Kevlars. So it does make a lot of sence to have two pairs..
-
Yep i would agree with your part that all riders would have a least two pairs.
-
No, as near as dam it 500 mate, there maybe other little twiddly bits we dont know about, so i wouldnt doubt him.
-
Naj, i believe they are £500 a piece, but i also believe the riders bought there own Kevlars..
-
Yeh i would agree Glyn. As i said its not your fault, having looked at the track you've done a good job, but that is also my fear..
-
That starts in 3 weeks time mate.. Hopefully our new boys will get plenty of laps in on P&P day, as ive said before both Neil and Chris can play pivetable parts in teaching the new boys how to ride Poole properly, and we also know because we are favorites teams will want to put one over us, we will be ready..
-
Arthur, leave it mate, the boys will do the talking on the track. you will only egnight the boo boys and wind up merchants..
-
Thats good glyn, i assume you are Giyn speedflash ? and having seen the photo's and looked at it first hand having seen it myself, you done a great job, but my only fear is, and its not your fault i know, will 3 weeks be enough for it to bed in ? We have have significant snow and we now have rain. and when its not doing either we do not have a drying wind. The boys were told to stay off that area when sorting the airfences, to give it as much chance as posible.
-
But at least we get speedway on TV mate surely, got to be better than a slap round the face with a wet kipper.
-
That would be good mate, as im sure we will be looking for more in due course.
