  1. No, i dont think he will be that good. But he should turn out a useful rider. If he stays sound.
  2. I doubt if Chris will go down mate. If he cannot increase that 7.16 average i will be very suprised. Chris is really good, form is temperary class is permanant, he's not be a world champion by being average. And nobody wants injuries, he's had his fair share of those in the last few years. Talking to brick walls springs to mind ! could have finished his career, then you had poorDarcys unfortunate accident, that took the wind out of his sails, like it did everybody, and that was on top of his own problems. I would not have been suprised had he retired there and then. As i said, Chris was fine last weds, had a spring in his step and was the first out on the track. Its good to see him back home, and i for one hope he has a good season.
  3. Ah but Keith, you forget, he's the voice of Somerset, he knows everything...
  4. You could never afford Chris. in fact no british club could afford to lash out 25 k for a rider nowadays, Give it up. your now clutching at straws. You've been told, several times, you got Doyley give it up.
  5. Thankyou. The senerio is perhaps they will both be at Poole next season. Its a good track for jack to go to, it will give him plenty of experience riding a bigger track week in week out where you can open the throttle a bit. Plymouth was a good learning curve for him on a tight track. He will improve for the experience. Riding the likes of Wolves will give him something to think about.
  6. Thats a superb effort from everybody. Sadly, 99 times out of 100 the Develops get there way.I wouild like to think this will not be the case.
  7. There you go. Problem solved. So i dont know why Naijers getting in a tizzy.
  8. Just to think, had other clubs put decent prices on there riders Somerset would be able to afford them as well. But Nailer seems to think its Somersets perogatitve to sign Chris. Er, it doesnt work like that, honest.
  9. He's signed for poole. get over it.
  10. I read what i see. Then others try and twist it..
  11. Matt wanted a fee for him, he could have let him out on loan. But chose the former. end of.
  12. Im sorry to upset your feelings, but, er, he live 20 mins away, and its a lot more convienient that a northern track..
  13. Chris signed for Poole end of.Chris is a poole asset. IF, that was the fee then its up to Somerset if they wanted to pay it or not, like most clubs they cannot afford to stump up that sort of money, Chris could have gone out on loan, but Matt chose to put a price on him. Sorry if that offends you, but its called business. Ideally, Chris would have prefered to have jack ride with him at poole, but like you should know, but clearly cannot grasp, you dont always get what you want. Garys a shrewd manager, and im sure he has come up against brick walls with other riders. As i said, you dont always get what you want.
  14. Its a well known fact that Chris wanted jack in the same team. It was not posible so jack had to sign for Somerset. Nothing wrong with that. Many fans for some reason dont like Chris, burt he's riding for us this season and im sure he will do his best. If others dont like him its there perogative.
  15. Does he not ? I think he would rather be at Poole than anywhere else to be honest.
  16. Spot on, a good captain needs to roam the pits and G the lads up along with the team manager. Technical advice should be left to the mechs, unless that rider wants advice from others. Its a team game..
  17. At first i thought Chris would be nailed on, but listening to what Matt says its the right decision. He just wants Chris to ride his bike, gain confidence and score points, which will benifit the team in the long run imo. Josh has been a captain at Somerset, so he knows what its all about, i feel the responsbillity will push him on, not pull him back. But on the same token, they can all be captains, because we are all aiming for the same goal..Its a team game..
  18. Yeh maybe, but you would still think a quality rider like Lee would adapt to it well, give that he rode other big tracks well.
  19. Yeh fair comment, but from Magics point of view he freely admitted he hated Wolves, but he eventually mastered it. But like somebody else said, Tony bit the bullet and rode it, Chris should be ble to do the same. Now you would have thought that Michael Lee would have been good round a big track like hyde rd, he rode KL well, and the old bigger Poole track.
  20. Clearly you dont know the difference between a team manger and a promoter that holds the purse strings..
  21. He was, Any yard stick has to involve Tony who won 6 world titles, but Chris should really suss Wolves out. its not rocket science. a case of watch a sky/BT DVD and learn. There angles are a lot better.
  22. Neil manages Matt does the juggling.
