  1. Thats where the mindset comes in..
  2. Im sure Matt will be doing a bit of juggling when the boys have put down early season markers. Horses for courses and all that..
  3. Quite right, and Chris should take a leaf out of Tonys book. Its a head thing.
  4. Another example, When Tony Rickardsson came to Poole he rated Poole as one of his least favorite tracks, but look how he ended up..
  5. Yep very true, Magic openly admited to me he detested the Wolves track, but once he got it sussed he was away. As Steve says, could be all in thre head. That was the case with Magic.
  6. Matt just wants Chris to ride his bike, regain his confidence and score points. He would be my choice for captain, but although we have not heard anything my guess is that it will go to josh.
  7. Good point Steve, you could be right. But Magic mastered it so i see no reason why Chris shouldnt. No disrespect to Kyle Newman who picked it up very quickly, but Chris is in a different league. Im sure, or you would hope they watch DVD's of the meetings, and then just impliment what they see. From a riders perspective, Wolverhampton is not, or shouldnt be rocket science. But every tracks characteristics are different, but to be fair most top riders should get dialed in and master them quickly.
  8. Thats true Steve, but you would have thought Chris would have figured it out by now.
  9. Yeh, but when you think about it, Magic couldnt grasp Wolves for love nor money, but once he got the hang of iit he was away. Chris has had more practice, Kyle Newman soon mastered it, im suprised that they didnt make a play for him. Wolves is not rocket science, Chris should have figured it by now.
  10. Arthur, leave them alone mate. The boo boys are out, its called, jealousy...They will have something else to moan about in October.. Chris will do his talking on the track..
  11. Thats ok then, you have it your way, im sure you cannot see anything past that. Nevermind eh..
  12. Maybe they do, but i dont think Chris will lose any sleep over it if he doesnt. Chris has been through a rough time, and already people are banging the drum. Give the bloke a chance.
  13. Chris is fine, he will do his talking on the track for the time being. He was first out y'day he had a spring in his step and he seemed happy. He just has to do what he's best a, ride his bike. A few good scores early on will do him the world of good. I really dont think Chris will be to bothered about those that dont like him. He will still get a good reception at Poole, thats all that matters.
  14. I dont think that will bother him to be honest.Im very sure he will get a good reception at Poole, thats all that counts.
  15. More fools peterbourgh. if they had the chance to sign him they messed up big time. It seems Poole was always on the agenda, who knows how that conversation went and befored hand. That wouldnt have been the first time Mick had contacted Matt...
  16. Mate, if there's any riders in the offing you know as well as i do he will know about them.. Thats his job. I remember watching Chris at Somerset before he joined us, and i was raving about this young Aussie Chris Holder to Matt. Matt just smiled, nuff said..
  17. I think Chris was always going to be a Poole y'day mate. Same as he will be for P&P day and the big meeting. Chris just needs to ride his bike, his demeanour was very positive y'day and some good scores early on will do his confidence the power of good.
  18. 300 is about the right size mate, if i had any gripe about our track is it could be a little wider all round.
  19. Mate, i had a long chat with Glyn today, and im very impressed with what he's trying to do, he explained to me what he's done on turns 1-2, and it makes perfect sence, im not going to give away any trade secrects, but suffice to say, because of this bad weather we have had, it might take 2-3 meetings to get it perfect. and it will be.. Yes it did cut up a biit but that was to be expected with the weather we have had. We will not lose any home advantage because of it... He also agreed with me, you dont need the volume of dirt on 3-4, especially turn 4 where riders were straightening up last year, he's also altured the blade on the tractor and wants to bring in a wonder wheel, i am not a great fan of those, but again he explained to me what it will do for our track. He is also is well aware of the effects the sea tides and table have on the track, he will learn the track set up fast. He talks to Chris who will leaise with the rest of the boys, he has already familierised himself with the rakers and asked them what they do,during and after the meeting, He's very good and very professional. The riders were very happy and Chris was very keen, he was first out, got in plenty of laps and had a spring in his step, as you say, james was happy, i also explained to him what Glyn had done, he raised his eyebrows, I expect Brady to improve again Josh was just testing. Its a confidence thing mate, good smooth track breds confidence, as i said, we will not lose any home advantage. I fully expect the new boys to get in plenty of laps next friday, weather permitting. Matt and Neil were happy. So far so good,
  20. How many Poole fans are looking forward to a good season ? I am !!
  21. Yeh i agree with this RIP Vaci Verner.
  22. Hello mate, 21 st , sponsors late afternoon fans from 1800 hrs, lets hope the weather starts to play ball.
  23. Everything Poole related is to you, but Hey, nobodys perfect...
