Speedway is dying on it's arse at PL level . How many were there on Saturday night ? About 700 maybe . Comparable with the track in Scotland's biggest city 100 miles up the road . Berwick are no better or worse than most tracks in our league

Aye Bigeddie , got as far as the back straight and got chatting and that was as far as I got . Only had the one pint before the meeting and discovered watching the Tigers away from home sober isn't much fun

Stayed in Berwick overnight , got the 11-22 train up , never seen any rain till just past Motherwell . On the brightside , it was a brilliant afternoon in the Horseshoe Bar , i'm not long home

That was minging and freezing . Speedway should be a summer sport , freezing our bollocks off watching that rubbish shoukld be a criminal offence . Bellego and Vissing were untouchable , but against us that isnt saying a lot . Wolbert turned in yet another disappointing performance , luckily Berwick's number one was equally as minging . Harrison gated and was gone in his first ride and that basically was it , Theo was equally as ineffective . Only our youngsters , Berge and Thomsen , were up for the fight and willing to mix it . Best race of the night , and only actual race , was heat 14 . Lemon gated and was that slow in front that the other 3 riders couldnt fail to be breathing down his neck and Wethers eventually wore him down . Freezing cold night with boring racing , not really what the paying public want

The ex Bandit , if only briefly , would be Theo Pijper . Always love going to Berwick , start at the Brewers Arms - then round the corner to the Leaping Salmon - then over the bridge to the Queen's Head and finally arriving at the Black and Gold about 5 o clock . Do we care if we win or lose , well maybe a little bit . The craic on the terraces is always brilliant though .

It's the main reason i go and when the helmets and gloves come off and two players are thumping each other , the crowd loves it . Braehead v Fife is a real hate match and it's no co-incidence the last time they played at Braehead it was a 3,600 sell out at the Arena . Back to Richard Hall , okay maybe he should have helped Auty to his feet before thumping him , but heat of the moment makes us all act irrationally .

I wasn't there , maybe Auty deserved it . Not the first time Auty's exuberance has ended in tears

Why ? That's quality stuff from Hall . We need more of that in speedway , nothing gets the crowd going more than a known villian thumping somebody . Might get the fans back through the turnstiles if they thought they might get a bit of contraversy . Newport v Glasgow the night before Cardiff used to be packed to the rafters and i'll bet a good percentage of the crowd only went because they knew something contraversial usually happened in that fixture .

Unless you're a top rider blessed with divine ability , like a Shane Parker , not many number ones lower themself to try and shephard home a team mate of much lesser ability .

Darcy is just misunderstood , he's not thick and he never had sex with that woman . Robert Lambert however is a modern day Oswald Mosley and should be punished under the treason act .
