  1. the less than a thousand hardy souls obviously No , we are all just in awe of the Monarchs' greatness
  2. It's our old pals " We are Redcar Bears , say we are Redcar Bears , this Sunday . And their loud and friendly gang of followers are always very welcome visitors . They have not a bad team to follow this year too , having had one or two encouraging results so far this season . I'm assuming that Richard Hall is still on the naughty step having copped a 28 day ban for giving Josh Auty a kick , and they have some Russian bloke standing in . Ann Summers and Son of God ( apart from last week ) are pretty good round Ashy and this should be an interesting and entertaining affair . Cant see our French sensation turning out this week , so it will probably be r/r for us . Sunday's teams ( unless there is an important fixture somewhere more important ) should be Glasgow 1 Kevin Wolbert 2 r/r 3 Mark Lemon 4 Theo Pijper 5 Rusty Harrison 6 Kasper Lykke 7 Anders Thomsen Redcar 1 Son of God 2 Rafal Konopka 3 Huge Skidmark 4 Carl Wilkinson 5 Ann Summers 6 Jan Graversen 7 Luke Crang So after finally getting off the mark last week , let's see if we can build on that now . C'mon the Stripes
  3. We basically just have the local spats . Glasgow/Edinburgh , Newcastle/Redcar . The threads when these meetings take place can get silly at times with a load of name calling . But what i have noticed is that a lot of PL supporters have a drink and a blether together, before during and after meetings , more than what goes on in either of the other two divisions .
  4. I disagree , i find abusing Edinburgh Monarchs both satisfying and theraputical
  5. Wore his shorts at Berwick the other week , Lioness . Was absolutely baltic as well . How hard is that
  6. It was just the needless attack on three tracks . I've seen very entertaining meetings on all three you said produced dross . And i've seen average meetings on some with the better reputations . Track prep is god and it's a consistancy which we seem to lack in this country . PL tracks can usually seem to get it right when SKY are in town , but maybe dont put in the same effort the rest of the time .
  7. My favourite track in the country , i even saw an entertaining 70-20 there last season heat 13 there was incredible
  8. Was strange not throwing Henry the black and white bunnet in heat 8 , but the Diamonds have had no luck either . Lewis Kerr three ef's , team managers must pull their hair out when riders turn up poorly prepared .
  9. No mate , excluded is excluded is excluded or even disqualified
  10. i just happened to be passing , while watching the slaughter on SKY tonight
  11. I'm struggling to see what exactly it is you expect . Your club got rid of an unpopular promoter and the current incumbants seem to have progressed the club . You've a tidy wee stadium , a track that offers up decent racing , you have the likes of Ben Barker in your septet . I fail to see what the big problem is . If the money isnt there , then you have to live within your means or fold . Would you rather drop back down to NL fare ? I honestly dont see what the big problem is .
  12. Not very cheery in the grown up world , thank goodness i stay out of it as much as i can
  13. It's Redcar , therefore i better bring plenty beer tokens
  14. Had a family thing today Dorothy , couldn't make it i'm afraid
  15. That's what the thread is for mate , and i cant think of anyone better qualified to contribute . Apart from maybe Simon Barton Him and i getting together is not for the drinking amateur
  16. I feel the need to come out in support of young Liam Gallagher fan , or whatever himself or herself calls themself these days . The forum is a bit of fun and shouldn't be taken that seriously . He , or she , likes a wind up - that's great . Our sadly missed from the forum Tiger 2799 used to do the exact same thing and it's funny . At the moment we have someone getting sniffy on the Comets v Panthers thread about someone calling Ales Dryml , Dribble . Would we rather have a forum full of that ? We moan there's no personalities in speedway anymore , well lets not snuff the life out of the forum too . I think the young lad , or lass , is great and the more fun on the forum the better .
  17. Not sure , hope he's not too badly hurt though . The lad has been the shining light in our season so far and a big future in the sport looks to be within his grasp
