Why ? That's quality stuff from Hall . We need more of that in speedway , nothing gets the crowd going more than a known villian thumping somebody . Might get the fans back through the turnstiles if they thought they might get a bit of contraversy . Newport v Glasgow the night before Cardiff used to be packed to the rafters and i'll bet a good percentage of the crowd only went because they knew something contraversial usually happened in that fixture .

Robert Lambert Mouthing Off In The Star. Oh Dear.
Paulco replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Darcy is just misunderstood , he's not thick and he never had sex with that woman . Robert Lambert however is a modern day Oswald Mosley and should be punished under the treason act . -

i wouldn't read too much into that result either George . By all accounts the track was weather affected and it was more the Bandits being minging than the Monarchs being good . Samantha Fox had no last places which pretty much proves that . Hoping last week was just a bit of a rider having a slow start to the season , he'll have to be more on it this week as it's an official home meeting now -
A real toughie for us this Sunday as we entertain the Comets . They look an outstanding side and are justifiably looked upon as favourites for this season's title . But that's not to say we cant beat them on Sunday , but our gating will have to be raised a notch or two from last weekend . Comets have three returning ex-Tigers in Josh Grajczonek , Mason Campton and Chris Mills plus our favourite guest at the dump , Ricky Wells . No idea the riding order the Comets will use , as we dont know who's riding for who one week to the next these days , but we should be along the same lines as last week . The Red Alert newsletter wasn't forthcoming with team make ups .

Peterborough Panthers Vs Somerset Rebels Lc 1/4/14
Paulco replied to Panthers89's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Seems to be a touch of the Henning Bagers about Ales Dryml . Scores about 5 whether it's EL or PL -
Whatever happened to Eric Carrillo ? Out of his depth at Wolverhampton , came to Glasgow and showed a modicum of potential at that level . But at the end of the 2004 season he disappeared never to be heard of again .

Edinburgh will provide a sterner test than Redcar , but the Bandits look a solid unit and i expect them to come out on top . The size of the victory depends pretty much on Edinburgh's reserves . Steve Worrall was outstanding home and away against Glasgow , his form will determine how close Edinburgh push Berwick

Who Over The Years Were The Stars In The National League.?
Paulco replied to stratton's topic in Years Gone By
God himself , Steve Lawson . He was Glasgow Tigers from 1978 till 1992 . Probably never see such loyalty ever again in speedway -
Premier League Absences And The New Elite Priority Rule
Paulco replied to oldtimer's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It's pretty obvious the doubling up thing has now spiralled out of control . It really has to be looked at again because from one week to the next we dont know who's going to be riding for who . -
Disappointed but not downhearted . True it's never nice to be defeated by ones so smug , but there was enough to give us heart for the rest of the season . Rusty was superb , the way he flew round the team riding Golden Child and whoever his partner was , was really special . Pijper and Lemon were steady and Agent Wolbert wont have to ride against his paymasters every week . Dimitri Berge got better as the meeting progressed and the signs are he'll do alright once he settles into Premier League racing . The two reserves are giving us the most encouragement though , and as neither can gate for toffee we are in for some exciting moments from them both . As for the Smug septet , well they flluked the win thanks mainly to the lesser Worrall and the annointed one . Steve Worrall's brother was obviously sneaked into his kevlars while nobody was looking and St Craig serenely breezed to an effortless maximum . Much sterner tests are to come in the coming weeks and we will have to up a level among a couple of our ranks , but i think we'll be a mid table side at least .

The changes to the track to accomodate the air fence has resulted in the fasted time of last night's meeting at Edinburgh becoming the new track record . That was Craig Cook , who else , in heat 1 at 56.1 . According the last night's programme , the old length was 260 metres and the new length has still to be confirmed .
