  1. I enjoyed that today , even though we were basically out before the meeting started , Good confidence building scores from our two new Aussies and entertaining and brave riding from the visiting Jason Garrity and Tyson Nelson . A heavy shower half way through threatened to spoil things , but on the whole it was a pretty entertaining meeting with close , exciting racing .
  2. Don't be too hard on yourselves Banditos , the self proclaimed Champions elect are a decent outfit and you wont be the last club to lose at home to them this season . Look on the bright side - you could be us
  3. Just back from a weekend away and nobody started a thread . Anyway i've heard the score from last night , so this has become little more than a Challenge match now . Let us , at least , put on a winning performance today to set us up for the League starting next week .
  4. Squelch Meeting off , and it's not even sunny . Haha beat youse to it Monarchs
  5. While the weather forecast doesn't exactly inspire confidence of this going ahead , if it does can the plucky underdogs upset the serene progress of the awesome Monarchs . The self proclaimed Champions elect roll into town expecting to slap down their noisy neighbours . Will the massive underdogs pull off the shock of the season and send the awesome ones back along the M8 greeting into their shortbread . Teams for Sunday should be - Plucky underdogs 1 Joe Screen 2 Joey Ringwood 3 James Wright 4 Henning Bager 5 James Grieves 6 Harley Horwood 7 Joe Jacobs Their esteemed awesomenesses 1 Cookie Monster 2 Desperate Deek 3 Theo the popular Monarch 4 The Golden Child 5 Crazy Claus 6 Dodgy German reserve 7 Tobacco Joe Should be a cracker as the Speedway Star predicted wooden spoonists get to share some track time with their blue blooded visitors . Sod this , lets just boot their sorry arses all the way back to West Lothian .
  6. I'm still unsure who actually won that race . Still first impressions of the track changes are favourable
  7. Grievesy's right though , we've all heard the crap he gets through there . The stuff we gave Fisher is kindergarden stuff by comparison .
  8. Short and to the point though i didn't like the weather forecast i saw at the end of Reporting Scotland .
  9. And the new bar , with the impressive hall of fame , is a breath of fresh air
  10. Not one pass made !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! were your eyes shut when Grieves and Aspregen were going at it during heat 4 ?
  11. Shut it Blobby , you're talking drivel as usual . Some cracking racing today , Grieves and Aspregen in heat 4 being the best , though i did think Aspregen had won it , though the referee thought different . Wethers and Screeny a few heats later was out of the top drawer too . Heat 8 was a bit of a turning point , Barrett drifting wide on the 2nd bend in both starts causing both Bellego and later Ringwood to come down . Again the referee confused the watching crowd , both times should have brought all riders back . Hope Ricky is okay , looked a nasty one . The way his bike jerked and stopped suddenly suggested a mechanical issue , nothing to do with the track Blobby . Edberg in heat 12 was an utter disgrace , if you're going to give up - pull over to the side , all the riders had to go wide entering the 3rd bend to avoid him touring round , not clever . Cracking racing and a tight match , i'm sure anyone without an axe to grind went home happy . Did you get your free Tigers scarf Blobs ?
  12. Must be able to use a guest for an assessed averaged rider , or we wouldn't be doing it . Anyway that adds a wee bit more interest to today's meeting , as Garrity is certainly an exciting young talent . Though it is a surprising choice considering we face Rye House in the KO Cup in a couple of weeks , but if it swings today's meeting in our favour then we wont bother about that .
  13. Aye if last night was anything to go by , he's going to be a star
  14. Just noticed there wasn't a thread for this meeting . What's wrong with you Banditos , don't you care anymore ? Anyway , the Joey Ringwood loyal will arrive in the Black and Gold at about 5 , see youse there .
  15. I wasn't too downhearted last night , despite the heavy defeat . Armadale has never been a happy hunting ground for us , apart from our title winning year , so on our first outing of 2013 i wasn't expecting much . Edinburgh looked to have assembled an excellent side and it will take a monumental effort for any away side to run them close in their own midden this year , so from that respect any misgivings i have about my own team will not be formed on the basis of last night . Screen's injury is a worry , and i hope his foot isn't too badly damaged when he wakes up this morning . Unfortunately getting your foot caught in someone's back wheel is an accident nobody can legislate for . Grieves was steady and was involved in the race of the night against Pijper , whilst Wright and Bager offered only glimpses of form . Armadale is notoriously difficult for many an away rider , so with three youngsters starting their PL careers it was always going to be a tall order . And whilst Horwood struggled , young Joe Jacobs battled manfully for his 4 points . But it was the performance of Joey Ringwood which offers us most encouragement for the season ahead . Ok there's a few rough edges with him and the tight circuit caught him out on more than one occasion , but he got better with every outing culminating in a race win , even if he did nearly end up in the bar a couple of times during it . Nick Morris apart , it was the most encouraging debut from a young Aussie , in Tigers colours , for quite a while .
  16. Almost ready to go , no need for thermals here - just plenty of beer tokens . C'mon the stripes
  17. See , your time on here isn't entirely wasted
  18. Yeah he was superb . He guested for us in two meetings that weekend , top scored at Workington and max at Ashfield the following day . Though in the 2011 season he guested in place of Ben Barker against us down at Plymouth and only scored 4 . I know Plymouth's upturned saucer is even smaller than Armadale , but he does seem to have a preference for the larger tracks .
  19. I'll check , but i remember him scoring a maximum while guesting for us a couple of years ago , against Somerset i think
  20. And their stance is too be applauded . Any new ruling should be for the benefit of the sport , this clearly is not .
  21. Dont these blooming Poles not know Britain is the centre of the speedway universe ? Time somebody had a word
  22. Obviously we're massive underdogs in the face of such greatness , but we'll try our best to get the odd 3-3
