Really? Not sure myself. Surely nobody really wants to see two clubs getting beat every week and in turn see their crowd numbers drop off a cliff putting them in even further financial trouble. I’d personally rather see them winning some meetings and being competitive, over a battle for fourth place.

Agree Dan would have been a good choice considering the form he’s in and scoring 15 there a couple of weeks ago. More than double what Zagar has managed at home so far. Don’t think he would have turned down the booking so probably wasn’t asked.

Can’t believe Sheffield are being so easily discounted not just you, but by a few. Two top heatleaders and a third heatleaders in excellent form, an ever improving Rowe on an upward trajectory and now more strength at reserve too. The upcoming meetings between them and Belle Vue will give us a better idea of where they’re at. Belle Vue have too many weak links for me and are terrible at reserve.

It wasn’t even anything to do with the actual meeting! It was a last minute novelty event to remember a former rider and nobody knew it was even happening until the day before! People are debating the ins and outs of it like it was a crucial GP! Absolutely nuts. If I was Louis I wouldn’t bother in future.

I think Louis was decent trapper, nothing more or less. Certainly wouldn’t put him in the same group as the likes of Wiltshire and other renowned trappers. Chris Louis was an excellent racer and to say otherwise is just wrong. On the track, I’m not sure what’s going on there. A lot of work has gone on again this winter to improve the baking and you can visible see the difference when standing on the terraces than it maybe shows on the TV. But the outside line is now being used LESS that it was before, what’s that all about? Every rider is choosing the same one inside line and a visible dry slick inside line is appearing after heat 1. Emil made one of his trademark stinker gates, and wouldn’t move off the inside line. I was getting a bit frustrated with him tbh because there was a dark outside line with plenty of material on it crying out for him or someone else to go out there but nobody would touch it. I also noticed something with Emil last night that I haven’t noticed before. When behind, whenever he got close to riders in front of him he was shutting off and losing ground. Has he been told not to take any risks here after what happened last season? We’ve seen Emil come from the back in exciting style numerous times at Foxhall the last couple of seasons, but this year he’s sat behind opposition reserves and looked lost and not threatened a pass..

Anyone criticising Rew btw is unfair. He’s been suffering from food poisoning and anyone that has had that, knows it can affect you for a while. Looked as white as sheet last night.

What a fantastic ride from Dan Thompson in heat 12. Passed by Douglas and lost ground but then battled back superbly to re-pass for a 5-1 that killed the meeting off. Superb.

To start with they need to get a couple of the riders going, Tungate in particular. Not sure what’s up with him at the moment but he looks a shadow of the rider that impressed last season. It’s bound to come at some point though. Need Riss back in the side also, not sure how long he’s likely to be out?
