  1. It’s Brennan, Lawson, Musielak, Nicholls, King, Edwards and one other. Those are “signed” but we don’t know whether they were signed on the provision that Thorssell was also signing and if that’s now not happening, whether that will cause them to have a rethink. My guess is probably not but we’ll see.
  2. Would be lucky to even make it to the foot of the table.
  3. No idea. All we know is the BSPL issued a post AGM statement confirming Ipswich’ participation in the 2026 season.
  4. If Thorssell isn’t happening, there’s 4.60 left for rider seven. Your suggestion, or Jenkins, seem to be the only options. I was told yesterday the other six in your team was done. And the source is as good as it gets. MAYBE, they’ll have a rethink if the planned seventh rider is now off the table.
  5. To be fair, Ipswich committed to racing this year at the AGM in early January and were confirmed starters. There’s nothing that’s been said that that commitment was dependent on a sale of the club being completed.
  6. He was, but that was before his injury that saw him spend most of last year out injured. In all of the guest appearances he made at Foxhall for the Injured Doyle two seasons ago, he didn’t hit a single double figure score. Pretty sure I saw that stat somewhere.
  7. Mind numbingly boring now though isn’t it 😴
  8. The problem there Col, is it’s 2026, not 2023. You’ve picked an anomaly of a season there which is the exception rather than the rule. Put up the season stats for the seasons prior, and after 2023 for a fairer evaluation of his skills in a heatleader position.
  9. Can’t disagree with any of that. If they had the six I mentioned on the provision that Thorssell would be the seventh, then they might have to rip up a couple of deals and have a rethink. The problem is, if there was a lack of quality options to begin with, then it’s not likely to be any different now. With the six plus Jenkins, the season is a write off before it’s even started. That’s not being negative, just a reality. What on earth are Northampton going to go with if they get the Green light? A top two of Klindt and Iversen?
  10. “Week and a half” is the likely timescale for a sale confirmation. So we’re looking at middle of next week, not this week.
  11. A lot of 2,1’ in there but it’ll suffer from a lack of heat winners and will get outgunned especially on the road where you can see a good few hidings coming. Hopefully whoever told Noaksey Thorssell was unlikely, is the same source that told him Adams might be the new Team manager 🤪 He was the make or break signing for this team IMO and would have made it more palatable. If the last place is filled by Jenkins or similar (with the greatest respect to him) then it’s a stinker of a team let’s be honest. The level of support will be interesting. The fans are used to seeing a sprinkle of stardust at Foxhall but are now going to see the fella that was third in the averages, suddenly jump two places to be the out and out number 1. There is some decent solid riders in there don’t get me wrong, but the problem is they’re all riders that should be slotting in at 3 and 4, not heatleader positions where they’ve proven to struggle in the past. Musielak particularly. Feel a bit for the new owners. They’ve come in late in the day and have been dealt a pretty poor hand. Only thing I’d say is let’s wait and see if they’re proactive because options will develop later in the season.
  12. Wasn’t mentioned but you’d hope so. Thorssell on a cheap average is the only thing that saves this team really.
  13. He’s been on a pushbike, but not a Speedway bike I don’t think although I could be wrong.
  14. Brennan, King, Lawson, Musielak, Nicholls, Edwards is definitely six of the seven.
  15. He said the new owners are nearing completion of the team, it didn’t sound like he had anything to do with it so it’s probably not his place to be naming them. Whether he’s technically still owner or not, he’s talking like the new owners are already in place and they’re doing all the work to get the club ready to race in “early April”. We have no idea how these people like to work. They’re clearly not going to be making any announcement on either the club, or rider signings, until the paperwork is officially completed. Which of course is their prerogative.
  16. We’re just going to have to wait and see. Proof of the pudding and all that. They, just like anyone else, deserve to be given a chance. I do find these posts from this particular poster rather suspicious though. Not just the odd comment here and there, it’s literally essays every time criticising them which is a bit weird.
  17. Definitely not. I’d lump Ipswich in with that too. A four team league isn’t feasible, so Ipswich were even more important than Northampton. They simply needed them to run and had no choice but to wait.
  18. With BSN saying their pricing structure for their streaming packages will be released by the end of the Month, then it has to be this coming week that we’ll finally know whether Northampton are in or out. BSN must surely have been given the nod on when to expect the confirmation of league structures for them to reveal that their price will be confirmed by the end of February. Morris in this weeks star also said they’ve now got to the point where decisions HAVE to be made. A Sale confirmation at Ipswich is also expected this coming week (stop laughing at the back) so we’re approaching the end game all round. Probably….
  19. Not sure I believe that one either to be honest. We’ll see.
  20. Always helps! That’s a good base in which to start.
  21. It’s possible, but hopefully it’s a sign that all is good and an announcement is imminent.
  22. In all seriousness it must be all but done or pretty far down the line if they’re putting out these promotional pictures. Fingers crossed we’re nearing the end game.
  23. With all due respect, where are they now flagrag? And now Dean is sticking the boot in too. Come on people at least give them a fair crack of the whip before writing them off as disasters waiting to happen ffs. They’ve at least shown up to keep the show on the road whilst those that lay on an excellent buffet have buggered off. Bizarre. Anyway, veering off topic here. Northampton. Can anyone upload the pics of the Holders there today? I don’t do Faceache. Edit: Just seen Haza’s post. Thank you
  24. I dunno actually. We think along those lines because we’re part of a very very small pool of supporters that regularly frequent this forum. The vast majority of supporters that turn up at their tracks will have gotten on with their lives over the winter and been oblivious to the finer details of club sales and a new track. I’d bet there actually isn’t that many who are like kids at Christmas and want to know what they’re getting yesterday. A bigger number will be confused at there being no fixtures or season tickets on sale sure, but I’m not convinced it’ll be a dealbreaker! From a personal point of view, after a long winter I’m at the point now where I’ve missed the racing and I’m looking forward to getting up to Lynn in a few weeks to watch some Speedway.
  25. Well, one week down of the latest two week turnaround! Will we get a sale confirmation by this time next week, or will we get another “update” of another delay? The suspenders are killing me! 😁
