  1. They won’t have it don’t waste your breath. They’ll all stick their fingers in their ears and go blah blah and they’ll genuinely think they fully deserved the win and got no luck whatsoever. Just like they believe they fully deserved to be champions last year because they were the best side in the league. They’re pure fantasists.
  2. Generally I’d agree. But the mask slipped a few seasons ago. Belle Vue brought in Zagar early season which APPEARED to be against the rules and all we got from him was laughing emoji’s and “drink those tears”’comments. Whether Zagar WAS ineligible or not is completely irrelevant, the fact is he didn’t care as long as Belle Vue got an advantage and were suddenly hot favourites. I have no time for win at all costs even if cheating mentality personally.
  3. They have zero shame. Arsebelle, SUPERARSE, Rob B, Phil(drink those tears)TheAce, and the biggest tool of all “Ouch”. Undoubtedly the biggest collection of absolutely whoppers from one club on this entire forum. Horrible lot!
  4. Must admit my heart skipped a beat when I read the word “fatal” there!!
  5. They’ll already be making contingency plans guaranteed.
  6. Was going to say exactly the same. Through no fault of his own, Hume must be extremely vulnerable now. I always thought Sheffield had far too long a tail. The Holders as heatleaders and Pickering third heatleader is plenty good enough at the top end. If they make two changes then they could actually end up looking a more solid outfit as long as the right riders are available.
  7. That for me has been the most impressive thing about Lynn’s start. Neither of those three have got close to what they’re capable of in the first couple of meetings, and you’ve still won soundly both times. Just how good can Lynn be when those three come to the party? Yes I get that Oxford aren’t one of the stronger teams, but it’s away I think they’ll struggle. They’ll still be tough to beat around their home track and Lynn made it look easy with a few riders off form! Monday is going to be very interesting for a few reasons.
  8. “They obviously offered him a very good deal and his mind was made up” Seems Rew was Birmingham bound very early reading Hawkins’ comments in this weeks Speedway Star. They knew they were bringing Brennan in and had to release one of King, Ellis or Rew but according to Hawkins in the end the decision was easy because it was taken out of their hands when Rew decided he was going to Birmingham.
  9. I see the saltiness has started already 🙄 where are the “cocky” posts? Nobody has said we’ve won anything yet either. Last night’s humiliation of Belle Vue has clearly stung a few, and from Leicester way as well which is bizarre and disappointing. Gonna be a long old season obviously 🙄
  10. Even when he’s not having his best meeting, he always seems to come up with a couple of great rides. Really nice lad too. Before the meeting last night he stopped and took time for every fan that wanted an autograph or a photo. Good lad.
  11. The Ipswich boys looked so quick last night. Emil stuffed up his gate in heat 13 but then went between Kurtz and Bewley off bend two like a hot knife through butter. You could visibly see more banking on the track as soon as we got there. As speedy says, we’ll get a better idea once the Witches boys start missing the gate a bit more.
  12. Christ can you imagine? Yeah, don’t stuff this one up Ipswich! Any of the following meetings fine, just not this one 🙄
  13. Touched a nerve has it? He’s not wrong is he.
  14. Doyle’s the most dominant home rider in the league. Even taking the GSA without bonus’ he’s over a point clear of his nearest challenger who is Kurtz. Foxhall is Doyle’s back yard, he’s made it his fortress and he absolutely hates getting beat around there. He gets beat occasionally of course he does, but his reaction to that defeat says it all! Parks his bike on the stock track, rips out his cut out and storms in to his pit bay throwing his helmet around 😁 Hates being beaten there with a passion and it’s something I love to see.
  15. Kurtz in particular is improving in that department IMO. You need to have more strings to your bow than being very good and dialled in around the NSS and that’s where both Kurtz and Bewley have been found wanting. But they’ve both started to get more consistent and better away from home and that’s reflected in the averages. Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see that improvement continue this year and Kurtz topping the Premiership averages. Only question marks are the GP’s and whether that takes his eye off the ball here a little.
  16. We had a great couple of days last week practicing and catching up with everyone again. Now it is time for the real business to start. The track was awesome last week, and you can really see the effort, Bob (Ellis) and Chris (Louis) and all the track staff have put in over the winter to improve it. I’m sure it will provide a great racetrack, and we have got some great racers here on Thursday. Found this bit interesting on the meeting preview. They’ve worked hard on sorting the Camber over the winter to try and improve the racing so it’ll be interesting to watch on Thursday to see if there’s much improvement there.
  17. They did but different teams to be fair. First time out that year Ipswich had an out of his depth Joe Thompson with three duck eggs, Hume partnered him at reserve, Riss was toiling in the main body With his brain fog illness and Rew who was finding his feet in British Speedway. Belle Vue had Lidsey at reserve for the first meeting, and Brennan at reserve for the second victory! Completely different kettle of fish this time around. Ipswich did then batter them by 18 in the semi that year also. I don’t expect them to get close on Thursday but we’ll see.
  18. Had a great night. Looked quick which is great to see. Looks fit most importantly.
  19. Those stats are from a while ago. Recent history is a completely different story.
