  1. Yeah can see what all you Sheffield fans are doing here, but unfortunately for you nobody is buying it.
  2. Sheffield HAVE to be winning at Ipswich on Monday. They’re running R/R for Woffinden which negates their advantage to a degree, but they’re facing a team who are missing their three heaviest hitters at home. People are underestimating just how good Ellis has been at Foxhall this year. Looking at the 2024 stats, he’s averaged 9.42 at Foxhall. In fact the three missing have home averages of 11.27, 9.65 and 9.42. You’re replacing that with R/R, Troy bloody Batchelor and Bewley who can’t ride the place! Bewley posted his best Foxhall score of 9 for Belle Vue earlier in the season, winning his first two rides before reverting to type.
  3. I don’t think anyone doubts what Emil has said Shano, even to you personally. He’s a determined lad as we all know but he can’t 100% know how long it’s going to take him to be race ready no matter what his intentions are. Woffinden spoke to the red top rag a month ago stating his intention was to return for Cardiff, and even the Ipswich fixture for Sheffield just gone but as we know that hasn’t happened. It thankfully doesn’t seem anywhere near as complicated an injury as Tai’s so nobody would bet against him being ready but the clock is ticking. The sooner he gets stitched up the sooner he can start the healing process. We ideally need him before the play offs and ready for the Cup final! But that’s less than three weeks away now so must be touch and go. We’ll see.
  4. Ah ok thank you. That makes more sense actually. Waiting for the body to naturally flush out the debris before closing. Must be a pretty deep wound as normally they can flush it out with saline and clean it up there and then. Sore one for sure!
  5. Operation for what? Doesn’t make sense unless there was another injury that wasn’t disclosed? The post from Emil said no broken bones and just a lacerated @rse cheek so do stitches count as an “operation”? And surely it would have been stitched up as soon as he went to hospital? You don’t lay there for four days with an open wound surely?? More that he’s HOPING to make them rather than stating it as fact no? Having asked Ritchie directly about any time frames for his absence he replied that they just don’t know at the moment. I guess we’ll have to wait until his “operation” has been done before knowing exactly how long he’s out for..
  6. Nicholls and Blodorn for Doyle and Sayfutdinov? Crikey. Leicester, Sheffield and Belle Vue will all be smelling blood in the coming weeks. Personally I think it’ll be Nicholls and rider replacement for Leicester. The Sheffield meeting on the Monday is going to be the biggest problem. Only Belle Vue not riding and Nicholls will be on Eurosport duty! So in all likelihood it’ll be Blodorn and R/R for Doyle and Emil LOL.
  7. If Ipswich don’t finish top it’ll prove the theory wrong that “the team that finishes top deserve it over the season”. Ipswich have been top all season long despite losing Doyle back in May, and battling through an injury crisis mid season where they were missing Doyle, King, Ellis and Thompson all at the same time. Even the most biased fans of rival clubs must concede that Ipswich put together the best 1-7 this year. Doesn’t mean a thing come play offs though of course but it’s still always nice to finish top of the pile. Ipswich only have one away fixture remaining, at Birmingham. Sheffield have two, Belle Vue and King’s Lynn away. There’s currently a 4 point gap at the top so Ipswich SHOULD really see the job through. Both Sheffield and Belle Vue still have to go to Foxhall though and both are capable of winning although neither really came close in the first run of fixtures.
  8. So we’re “to accept” that Musielak has been riding in this country for many years, for Wolves, Swindon, Sheffield, and been a loyal servant to all his clubs. But by some coincidence he rocks up at the complete circus that is King’s Lynn speedway and suddenly it’s boooo! He’s a bad egg who walks out on his clubs when according to you, someone else shows him a bit of skirt? I notice Bagpuss has been very quiet on this recently but he did hint that he’d “heard” what’s gone on, maybe you’d like to share what you’ve heard Bagpuss?
  9. Reading today’s Star it seems they’ve all but given up getting a Doyle replacement in. They have “a plan in place for the play offs” if they don’t get anyone over the line, so at least it seems they’ve organised a guest. Think it’s odds on Leicester will overhaul Oxford having four fixtures in hand so that will rule out Fricke. Nicholls will be ruled out even for the Foxhall leg of the play offs as he’ll be on Eurosport duty, so you’re looking at a guest from Oxford, Lynn or Birmingham. Lindgren is surely the ONLY choice..
  10. Not strictly accurate as not all rising stars are riding at 7. The number 7 (whomever that may be) is protected in heat 8, not rising stars.
  11. The cynic in me says they have replacements waiting to go and will announce them 24 hours after Ipswich complete their 75% fixtures next week out of spite.
  12. I accounted for that and came out with 75% after Thursday. Shows how terrible my maths is! Must have counted a meeting twice somewhere. So just over a week left, let’s see if Lynn announce a new rider(s) next Friday. What’s the odds?
  13. Don’t mind “banter” at all, not particularly school yard name calling though. All a bit juvenile isn’t it? That’s what I’d expect something my 12 year old Daughter would come out with. Each to their own though, crack on.
  14. Musielak has been involved in UK Speedway for a few years now, and has been as good as Gold to more than one club over here. A loyal servant if you like. Until this year. It’s always Lynn isn’t it? The BSPL should do the right thing and allow him to earn a living elsewhere.
  15. I wouldn’t believe a single thing that comes from King’s Lynn, not a single word.
  16. You won’t be signing a replacement for Musielak until after the Ipswich v Kings Lynn fixture on August the 1st where Ipswich reach their 75% cut off. There are games at play here and it doesn’t need spelling out.
  17. And Chapman postponed a meeting because he was missing TWO riders with three premiership teams not riding. And a few had the cheek on here to say they should appeal to get their 2 points back. They got off lightly imo.
  18. Ipswich went in to meetings severely hampered by numerous injuries this season. At one point they went in to meetings without FOUR riders (Doyle, King, Ellis, Dan) and didn’t attempt to cancel meetings. They just got on with it as everyone SHOULD do.
  19. You have to wonder whether internal talks between the clubs on the 75% rule should be scrapped. There’s currently 3 clubs missing a top heatleader and struggling to replace them. Ipswich for example, have known since the end of May that Doyle was out for the season and I know for a fact they’ve tried every top line rider out there without success. They’ve been close a couple of times, but ultimately couldn’t get them over the line. Sheffield and now Lynn are now having the same issues. My understanding is that there are a couple that would be willing to come, but not before clubs reach their 75% cut off. Let’s see if this “rule” stays in place.
  20. He was interviewed only last week and that was still his aim. Didn’t rule out a return for Sheffield against Ipswich the week before either. He likes to play games and lead people up the garden path. I wouldn’t pay much attention to his hints. Could be totally wrong though, we’ll have to wait and see.
  21. That he’s probably back for Cardiff. That’s been his aim.
