For sure, but two wrongs don’t make a right though. Think they’ve definitely taken advantage of a dodgy looking forecast to get this off. I’ve seen even worse forecasts than that the evening before a meeting at Foxhall, and they’ve not called it off the evening before. I can also remember a meeting against Peterborough at Foxhall a few years ago, where the Ipswich Twitter account uploaded a photo of the track literally under water after a monsoon mid afternoon the day of a meeting, and still got the meeting on. They’ve also worked hard clearing all the drains during the winter and sorted the drainage system. Let’s be honest here they should have waited until the morning we all know it. But what’s done is done.

Met office has changed AGAIN 😂 light drizzle 5am til 1pm, then sunny intervals with the odd light shower throughout the afternoon. They clearly aren’t sure. Forecasts are generally crap until the actual day.

Haven’t seen anyone post that since I posted about the postponement. It was obviously going to be tougher to progress with the injury problems I think we all conceded that. I certainly still wouldn’t have bet against us winning the tie tomorrow, any scenario looked possible. You’d think that was Lynn’s best chance and it may now have gone, but having said that, it could be a while before the fixture takes place and either team could look in a worse position by then! You can just never tell in this sport.

We do indeed, fair point. So hopefully Ben Cook is also back fit and Lynn are also back to full strength 😁

TBH, they could probably have waited until tomorrow morning to make the call. Every time I look on the Met Office it’s been changing! Wasn’t so bad an hour or two ago, but rain now pushed out til 6-7 tomorrow evening. Could have waited until early tomorrow, checked a more accurate forecast, and then made a call which would still have given everyone plenty of notice.

Absolutely huge miss you’re right. Bigger than Doyley in fact. Any replacement is likely scoring around 5 points less than Dan and that’s being generous. That’s a 10 point swing in the overall score right there. We’ve currently lost the two most important riders at both ends of the team. Let’s hope they’re back soon but more importantly, when they’re ready and properly fit.

As ever though, always a more reliable forecast on the actual day so let’s see what they say in the morning. I know I joked about wanting a rain off, but all jokes aside I hope it goes ahead. Well drizzle all day should help in that regard! Driest spring on record and a lot of tracks have suffered with dust and blue grooves this year it’s been that dry. Just depends how heavy the rain is, but it’s due to stop around 5/6 pm at the moment.

He doesn’t. You must have him confused with someone else. He was released by us a few years ago because in Louis’ own words, he just couldn’t get the hang of Foxhall and was so poor at home.

Forecast hasn’t improved. If anything it’s gotten a little worse. Met office has continuous rain from 8 in the morning until 5pm, BBC which tbf is the least reliable I find, has rain from 8am until 2am Friday morning. Forecast changes daily though so let’s see what the more accurate forecast will be tomorrow morning. Still no news on the Rising Star for Lynn.

The Cup would be a bummer but I’m not sure losing a few meetings in the league would be a bad thing. Fourth position will do fine, with averages being kept as low as possible, particularly Dan’s with next year in mind. The way he was riding he might have ridden himself out of a job for next year! The target has to be get everyone fit and firing in September. IF we can do that, I don’t see another team that would beat us over two legs.

Hawkins said Janowski was asked to guest but turned it down. Begs the question, why ask him in the first place? He scored 4 from 6 rides at Foxhall a few weeks ago and looked genuinely awful. Emil, Brennan, Ellis and King taking rider replacement rides was always the better and right choice surely?

I do. It’s unlucky yes, but the bad luck has to sit with the side that are missing said rider. There should be no situation here where a rising star (effectively a novice) can be replaced in his programmed rides by a Grand Prix rider.
