  1. Because maybe nobody has spoken to Louis yet. Wouldn’t be the biggest shock in the world would it? Thought it was a post from Peterborough themselves but just looked and it’s BSN so you’re probably right. Probably waiting until the Tungate deal is rubber stamped before making the announcement.
  2. Perhaps Ipswich have told them to remove it.
  3. I did say injuries are not unexpected in this sport, any team can lose a rider to injury at any point we all know that. Losing a rider like Ipswich have to illness is as unlucky as it gets.
  4. I’ll be here for this one. Looking forward to it.
  5. Ipswich have been unlucky though, Lynn haven’t. When building teams with top end power and weak bottom ends you suffer badly when running rider replacement for a second string when that bottom end then has to take 10 rides between them. Losing a rider to injury isn’t unexpected in this sport, but losing one to illness is terribly unlucky whichever way you slice it. Barker is now a better alternative to R/R but he’s a 4 and half pointer replacing a 6 pointer so isn’t the long term answer either. Jack Thomas at rising star looks an even bigger miss the longer the season goes on!
  6. Well not what I was expecting tonight! Some decent racing in patches.
  7. Coming down for this one. Very much looking forward to it.
  8. Totally agree if they’ve known about his arm pump issue then you wonder why they waited so long on Riss and giving him an extra 2 R/R rides every meeting. Also agree on the other reserve, Ipswich have to make a change there if they’re serious about challenging. I’d be on the blower to Connor Bailey personally.
  9. Thompson again struggling. You have to wonder how long they’ll give him before making a change there. He’s even struggling for points in the reserve berth in the Championship. Meanwhile you have the likes of Connor Bailey scoring paid double figures in the main body of the Redcar team and beating the likes of Basso and Chris Harris! Not Just Ipswich but Belle Vue also made very strange choices for their rising star positions.
  10. Really? You or he may not be aware, but we’re living in a cost of living crisis where people are struggling to pay their bills and put food on the table. 20 odd quid maybe peanuts to some, but for others it’s a lot to fork out every other week. There’ll be die hard supporters out there who live for their speedway, who will make sacrifices and go without certain things to go and support their club and then you get absolute pr!cks like Johnson talking down to those people like they’re something he’s stepped in!? Thick as pig sh!t is being kind!! Look at the dross the supporters have been dished up with this year I’d say they’re more than entitled to voice their disapproval without have to clean the ‘kin bogs and put up the air fences!
  11. People should simply disregard anything Carl Johnson says and not get too hung up about it. The bloke is as thick as pig sh!t.
  12. I agree. Or maybe a superheat? I was at the Leicester cup meeting a few weeks back and Lawson was poor. All four who can take his rides comfortably out scored him and all four are better than him around Ipswich! Could be very very tight. Ipswich will need Rew to continue his improved Foxhall form here.
  13. Stop being all precious ffs. That’s one of the biggest flyers I’ve ever seen and that always gets called back, and this should have too as you know full well. Your “opinion” is blatantly biased.
  14. Bellego is absolutely naff. Sheffield need to get rid and sharpish.
  15. Just get on the blower and offer your own asset (Kemp) the rising star spot. I don’t buy the theory that he wouldn’t be interested one bit. Who cares if he’s not a “team player” of gets down on himself, so what? Big deal. He’ll score valuable points down there no doubt about it.
  16. Disagree here. On the old circuit with the long straights and tight bends you had to turn hard, but not this current Ipswich circuit. It’s night and day since the changes with the widened bends and the all in one smooth transition around the bends. The circuit is much more circular in shape and is much “easier to ride” according to a few riders including Louis himself. At Monmore, you pretty much have to turn so hard on the second bend you almost come to a complete halt before getting your wheels in line and get going again up the back straight! Easy to see why a lot of the riders (and supporters to be fair) don’t like it. I’ve never been a fan and I accept you do at times get some close racing and overtaking, but visually it’s never appealed to me. On the flip side though I guess it’s good to have something a bit different from the norm!
  17. Difference being at Leicester you don’t have to literally turn the bike inside out on the second bend to get up the back straight! Monmore is like no other, that’s why some top class riders have struggled there over the years and why even some bang average Wolves sides on paper, have still managed to make it a fortress. Wolves by 6.
  18. Harsh. He’s doing exactly what it says on the tin with him. He’s been a 5-6 point rider for many years now, what were you expecting? At this stage of his career he’s not going to suddenly blossom in to a 7 point rider. There’s little surprise either with Andersen or Iversen. People said they were on decent averages, they never were. They’re washed up has beens whose averages were only ever heading in one direction! You’ve cut Basso some slack there because of his age which is fair enough, but if one rider so far has been a big disappointment it’s definitely him. He’s been awful.
  19. And that makes perfect sense. Unfortunately Lisa is overprotective at anything said in a negative way about one of her precious boys.
  20. What I like about that is that it’s a great cut back pass, but he knew Worrall was still on the faster outside line so moved out on the last bend to stop his run stone dead. Intelligent riding.
  21. Then the “rumour” you talk of about of an ex promoter being interested to take over will come to nothing also then. If this ex promoter DOES take over, then that will prove Buster actually wasn’t asking too much and the purple man was never serious to begin with. A lot of things seem to make little sense here.
  22. Pretty comprehensive that. No surprise that those tiny minority in the “right call” camp have shown a previous dislike of Jason Doyle. Not that their judgment is in any way clouded of course!
  23. Why someone else? Thought Tomalin was THE knight in shining armor? Ok if it turns out to be a “rumour” and nothing more than that, but if someone else steps in and takes over it’ll prove some of you Panthers fans were taken in hook line and sinker by a second hand car salesman.
  24. Really enjoyable meeting I thought with some good racing. BSN doing a great job with the streams. Rew looks a very talented rider, if he continues to improve and provides this sort of scoring to back up Doyle Emil and King then Ipswich are going to take some stopping.
  25. You’ve gotta love Jason Doyle. British Speedway legend. Not many treat OUR league with respect like he does. He even turned up last night for a challenge at Poole where it didn’t matter a jot, and still rode his heart out to a full 15 point max. What a servant he’s been and we’ll all miss him when he’s gone. Can’t see others at the top table that does what he does here. We should all get behind him at the GP’s!
