  1. David Ruud, Tomasz Jedrzejak and Daniel Jeleniewski confirmed for Lejonen according to their new web page. Christian Hefenbrock signs for Indianerna according to Nerikes Allehanda. Chris Holder is also expected to sign on with Lejonen for 2008 in the near future, as a verbal agreement has been made. The same goes for Greg Hancock and Rospiggarna, according to Rospiggarna chair man Anders Östling who says Greg will put pen to paper as soon as he returns from the USA.
  2. I'm afraid I'm not at liberty to say. Good job on starting this thread though
  3. Must admit I was surprised to see PK remain with Dackarna. Meetings might come very sparsely for him next year if he gives Wolverhampton and the BEL a miss and Hans, AJ, and Lindgren stay fit. I would have thought he'd go some place where he would be guaranteed to ride in every meeting. Especially as he's seemingly planning to quit England. He might rethink that now, I guess.
  4. Any update on how Christian Hefenbrock is doing after the crash/pulling out of the DM? Will he be fit for Saturday?
  5. Why would you think that? Jesper arrived in Stockholm yesterday morning.
  6. Maybe semi-temporary tracks can. This one will be laid in November and finished in March, they say. So should be good in May. Ofcourse, no guarantee against torrential downpours but all tracks will struggle with those.
  7. I believe Peter Karlsson could actually top that or at least run him close. Can't find the figures at the moment though! Anyone? EDIT: According to the Dackarna profile of PK he has actually ridden in 47 GP's. Hm! I thought there were more.
  8. I'm confident the series wouldn't be heading back to Ullevi unless strong guarantees have been given against all that went wrong the last time.
  9. We share the same fears regarding the weather/crowd siutation Anders. Let's hope they don't come true.
  10. No, whoever wins tonight still get promoted and the loser gets nothing. I will be looking in on your updates at the WWoS Schumi
  11. That rule is very unclear and basically wide open to SVEMO's arbitrariness. They aren't doing the same, they are doing the opposite. In 2004 Dalakraft won and had the right to promotion, which they rejected. After that SVEMO turned to Örnarna who were second in the Allsvenskan, and as they also rejected promotion the question went back to Piraterna. If SVEMO were to follow their own precedent, Valsarna should be asked before Indianerna. Exactly.
  12. Agreed. Absolute miscarriage of justice The last time a similar situation occured in 2004, Piraterna were dead last in the Elitserien and still got to stay for 2005. But this was different, because the question first went to Dalakraft and Örnarna, who were 1 and 2 in the Allsvenskan but who didn't want promotion and then back to Piraterna who wanted to stay. Same principle should be applied this time around. Because I'm sure Valsarna wants promotion.
  13. Your swedish coming along nicely then Schumi Maybe you should join forces with Muddy, he's learning at a frantic pace
  14. Don't think they can, R/R is to be used for injured riders. Not riders riding elsewhere.
  15. This made me laugh right out. Love the attitude!
  16. Yes, but have you actually understood what has been going on in Gothenburg or do you just dislike Kaparna? I assure you mr Rander is very accomplished in most things speedway. He is however, far from popular, in many places and constantly opposed, in many cases for no other reason than who he is. Well running at the Ullevi is certainly better than moving around, isn't it. Getting speedway right into town centres can't be bad. And as far as we know the plans for the facilities in Säve are still very much on as soon as the appeals have been dealt with. Which in fairness will take time, knowing the swedish court system. So Kaparna will in all likelihood continue to struggle as long as they don't have a proper home. I really hope they get one, and will continue to support their struggle to survive by all means available in the face of constant adversity.
  17. Ullevi laying a semi-permanent track for speedway in the centre of Swedens' second city is exciting news for the sport in my view. And who knows what sort of interest Kaparna might generate in a couple of years. What I like about Kaparna is they always have vision, much unlike a few other blind, deaf and hopelessly self-centered small town clubs brimming with negativism and small mindedness.
  18. Go on Valsarna! Hope they beat Lejonen (who I'm none too pleased with at the moment ) in the final! However, Lejonen will be favourites.
  19. I do not know, but I seriously doubt that Kroner could beat the likes of Crump, Holta, Hancock, Davidsson and Kolodziej the way Smolinski has been doing home and away in the latter part of summer - early fall over here. But then ofcourse I do not know much about Tobias Kroner
