Can you show me where in my post I stated that your thoughts are, were or will be 'rubbish or invalid'? They are your words, not mine. In fact, I agree with you - it is a democracy. Consequently its MY choice whether or not I grow up, thank you. I'll even tell you why I made my post and why I came to the conclusion I did - your consistently negative posts about the Devils and a number of highly personal attacks on several of the people associated with the promotion. Similarly a threat elsewhere to resort to legal action which was precisely the style of the last promotion and its acolytes. So you'll understand why I am uncertain whether to accept at face value your denial above.

The more of your posts I read, the more convinced I am that you are connected to the previous promotion in some way

Teams Making The Move Up
ancient mariner replied to muirspud's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I guess it depends on ones definition of what constitutes 'Elite'. A small number of riders demanding crazy fees for participating in a league that patently cannot generate the revenue necessary to fund those wages = ruin. Frankly I care not a fig who rides, so long as I see competitive racing. Surely that is what provides entertainment? -
To Mr Negative: BBC Breakfast on Wednesday, I believe. Why aren't you just pleased for the guy and for the sport?

So which of the two options do you prefer? -
So that's two of Plymouths team sorted for next year. Will ALL their team members have to be called Darcy?

You're right. Injuries. More injuries. Yet more injuries. I'll be charitable and assume that you weren't criticising -
Mikkel Bech...whats Happening?
ancient mariner replied to Opinionated's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So now we know http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/Danish-speedway-superstar-Mikkel-Bech-officially/story-19649494-detail/story.html I for one am doing the old and infirm equivalent of cartwheels. What strikes me even more than his scoring is the joy with which he approaches his speedway. It's so clearly what he enjoys doing and it comes across in everything he does. The Devils promotion is to be congratulated for its bold decision to introduce Mikkel to UK speedway. -

And the whole point of this thread is what precisely? Please enlighten me. -

Please note that I have not challenged the accuracy of your original post. I have not counted but I take it you have otherwise you would not have made the statement above. I assumed that your original post was one of two things: a. An observation intended to provoke replies from other contributors or b. Utterly pointless I replied on the assumption that it was the former, in the manner in which I saw fit. If you deem my response to be patronising then that is entirely your prerogative. -

Bang on Screm. You're right, his talent is massive and undoubted. He also knows how to interact with the spectators and TBH already has us in the palm of his hand! Can anyone name me a PL promotion that WOULDN'T be delighted to name him as an asset? This is a recorded aim of the Devils promotion and as far as I'm concerned more power to its elbow. If it comes to pass I for one will be absolutely delighted. Finally, in my view 'Opinionated' comes with an agenda and a massive stirring implement. Best ignored. -

But its hardly a surprise, is it? The Devils promotion signed him on the basis that he had certain other existing commitments and I would be surprised if anyone thought otherwise. To suggest anything else supposes that either the promotion are stupid or the rider is dishonest. I hardly think that either of these is likely, do you? -
Oh dear

Berwick V Plymouth (22 June)

Not so wide of the mark then. What many failed to note was that the Devils 'revival' was against the 3 teams at the bottom of the league. -

As Devils supporters we aren't used to hearing such good things said about the team. It's all rather unnerving! I think the difference will be that the Bandits will have Ben Barker and the Devils won't have Ty Procter (with all due respect to Ricky Wells who as a guest has already done good things for the Devils this season). I'll settle for a point and no injuries. -

The state of the track after recent poor weather plus a forecast of more crap weather. It was a good call, as it's honking it down here now -

After the last two seasons we've had, I never thought I'd read a comment like this on the forum. Thank you kind sir, you've made an old mariner very, very happy -
So are you suggesting we have his predecessor back? Agree with you though, it would be worth checking with a rider how his name is pronounced before the meeting starts.

But let's face it, the only place that Plymouth is anywhere near to is ....... the Atlantic Ocean
