Was it not a case of misunderstanding that he wasn’t resigned? Thought he had initially intimated he wasn’t doing the Championship this year and by the time he decided, Glasgow had made moves. Think he could come back and bite us on the bum when Poole visit.

Despite the points scored, there’s absolutely no excuse for giving up at the back when not in a scoring position. We don’t pay good money to see this kind of thing in speedway and he, more than most, has a history of this sort of couldn’t care less attitude.

Can’t see them being susceptible to home defeats this season…..

Was Batchelor’s retirement in his last race his usual “can’t be arsed” if he’s not placed or was there a bonafide reason?

Fair summary Paulco. For Glasgow, as well as Pearson needing to kick on, Starke needs to come to the party and Flint has to improve his Ashfield performances (which I’m sure he will). Worrall will be ok if he continues to gate well but can sometimes disappear in big heats. We sure will miss Basso this year.

Going by her celebration after the race I would imagine it to be an unusual result for her…..but good on her, it was a great ride. I wish her all the best for next year and congratulate Workington on their ambitious move.

Ok……..but the symptoms you describe can also be due to wrong set up……but I get what you’re saying and it’s not bad for someone who’s been following speedway for six years less than me………lol

More likely just on a downward spiral due to age, fitness, confidence and as Gazc says, injuries. I was talking in general anyway…..when people say such things about riders like “if he was on better equipment” or “he’s riding a lawnmower” etc. How the hell do they know the equipment is inferior and it’s not just the rider who’s not performing?

Glad to see him back with the Monarchs…….always good value as a visitor.
