  1. Both the incident where Batchelor knocks off Pedersen and the tapes going up unevenly are all covered in this weeks star but as others have said not necessarily by Oakes.
  2. I can tell you that Jim Lawrence,s view of the start line was as expected (above and looking down) so he wouldn't have seen the tapes going up unevenly, his replay view from another angle was also high looking down and didn't give a clear front view that most fans got.(why he only got that view I don't know) Doyle was excluded because of instructions given on green light starting at the riders briefing by Steele and Morris and on the fact he made a big jump at the gate rather than a small one, to be fair I didn't have a problem with Doyle,s exclusion he shouldn't have moved until the light went out and he clearly did, no one else had any problems and in fact the rest of the GL starts went without incident. FIM rules allow for a flag start in the event of a starting gate & GL failure so it could have been worse.
  3. Like a lot on here you slated Jim Lawrence for his handling of the meeting yet it appears he did very little wrong in the great scheme of things, Oakes did a good job of explaining how he wasn't to blame. This shambles was predominantly down to the crap track, but whether Olsen manages to sidestep responsibility remains to be seen.
  4. Happy with most decisions as long as it's within the rules, would be helpful if all these discounts were properly documented on the appropriate GSA but I appreciate the BSPA and clear and upfront are not words that are generally seen in the same sentence.
  5. The fixture list isn't compiled by Peterborough
  6. Garrity,s final MA from 2014 is 6.75 according to the BSPA Not sure where you have 6.19 from?
  7. I can only assume he replaces Stead as the figures don't balance for Belego.
  8. I agree, certainly the best Sky meeting so far, shame Lakeside slipped away after a good start, it doesn't bode well for them now if they struggled at Wolves. Kennett was awful, what has happened to the bloke.
  9. BSPA GSA are not out yet but my source is a reliable one
  10. Not often I agree with Addio but I do on this one, the rubbish track is down to Olsen and he should carry the can, not for the first time either.
  11. Latest figures say Schlein is 6.19, it's also worth noting the amendment to the rules issued Early April.
  12. Well I said it might be interesting on another forum after the news that they had problems with part of the track but that was the wrong word as shambles is probably more accurate. Personally I have seen many many meetings on tracks worse than that, I also find it hard to believe that they only had one set of starting equipment. I also thought Batchelor was fortunate not to get excluded for having Pedersen off and heat 2 should have been rerun as it must have been clear from the TV replays that the tapes were not going up evenly. No problem with Doyles exclusion, he clearly move before the light went off. But I feel really sorry for supporters, I know a lot of friends that went and after the ticket rip off I fear this will end up costing the organisers support in future GP,s especially at Warsaw, they surely must offer some compensation. Lastly I was extremely dissapointed with the total lack of information coming through from Eurosport and the commentators as to what was happening and the report on the SGP web site is frankly pathetic. I to will be very interested to see what the star says about this debacle but as others have said surely someone must be held accountable. A real poor day for the sport.
  13. It's based on what each team averages per match so big home wins and good scores away, at the moment Rye have the best in our group courtesy of the 60 plus thrashing over Plymouth.
  14. So what's your excuse I would have thought yellow was more your colour
  15. I should think he had a few friendly chats on Sunday he was after all wearing his wife's pink shorts
  16. What that Belle Vue will finish above Leicester.
  17. Might have had something to do with who was referee, her specialist subjects are fire extinguishers, safety fences and environmental mats.
  18. Of course Roynon was in the team's initial declaration he rode in the first match (briefly) he was replaced by Palm Toft, why that isn't shown by the BSPA I have no idea. Yes his inclusion does go against speedways regulations but his inclusion is allowed by a previous ruling by the BSPA ( not in the rules) but still current which is how he is currently included, he will be obtaining a new average after 4H and 4A as will Robert Lambert.
  19. One has to wonder as these things happen every year do some promoters do it on purpose in order to make sure they gain an advantage
