It really depends on the team they end up with as they have two options, one with NKI and another with a solid 1-7. Having listened to all the riders discussed on here and friends it sounds like Option A is Iversen, Tungate and possibly Ostergaard Option B is Tungate, ANO possibly Bech and Nicholls Both have possibilities but option B does cause me some concerns regarding heats 13 and 15. I just wish they would sort it out and announce them because as others have said it’s dragging on a bit.

Saying in the star that the club plans are waiting on one riders decision for the remaining places to fall into place but have other options if this rider declines.

Personally I think it lacks basic common sense, some supporters would clearly go to both and the point about visiting fans making a weekend of it is also a good point.

Fundin was before my time but Briggs and Olsen were both fairly robust on first corners, Mauger was only very rarely beaten to the first corner being such a good trapper and was also very quick to pass when the opportunity arose which generally with constant pressure it invariably did. Jason Crump was another who didn’t shy away from hard first corners.

It’s never officially been clarified, it’s like a lot of the speedway regulations very ambiguous and subject to interpretation. This should be shown in the GSA especially the final one, so it’s clear who get the discount, it clearly doesn’t just qualify if you rode NL or the equivalent in the past, it also depends on your nationality. For example BWD rode in the NL in the past but didn’t get the discount because he rides under NZ registration in FIM events even though he holds a British passport.

I agree, Lewis is a solid Championship second string/third heat leader, I am not convinced he will get any better.

I do wonder about being a steal, that’s two years now he has supposedly been a steal and hasn’t.
