  1. Didn’t see your second question, but I did quote several hundred pounds above. Basically it comes down to how often supporters are inconvenienced because of only one paramedic and waiting for an ambulance, generally not too often although it happens everywhere occasionally. The cost of a second paramedic or doctor is considered too high for a general meeting although my understanding is we had two for the Fours Finals, personally having to wait (occasionally) for a rider to be treated or for a county ambulance to arrive is part and parcel of the sport and not something that will stop me attending.
  2. If you read the post I quoted you will see IainB mentions inadequate medical cover, I was referring to that. To be fair it isn’t difficult to follow, well to be fair I thought it wasn’t.
  3. At Peterborough the Supporters Club looked into providing a second paramedic for Peterborough meetings but the cost is quite high (several hundred pounds per meeting) with the extra of additional insurance as well. it wasn’t deemed cost effective which I would presume is what other clubs have found as well. You might be surprised just how much medical cover costs per meeting.
  4. They gambled on Thorsell & Morris when replacing Nicholls. Its looking like a bad mistake, Morris isn’t anywhere near the rider he was.
  5. You were Alan, both with this prediction and your interval prediction. Fabulous match with some great racing.
  6. Not a good meeting Steve It was complete and utter pants from start to finish, the track is an absolute shambles and it’s clear their own fans have had enough. Its not hard to see why Poole are struggling but as others have said the management just care about winning nothing else, racing etc is non existent. A poor advert for the sport and BT shouldn’t show anymore matches from there until it’s significantly improved, certainly not a good advert for fans to travel and watch that dross.
  7. I bloody hope not, really glad Kennett signed for you as well.
  8. Kennett generally is pants anywhere other than Eastbourne Rye House and Lakeside, unfortunately none of which are in the Premiership. Not convinced this change helps Ipswich.
  9. Good entertaining meeting with some great racing.
  10. A very strong favourite especially after scoring well in the recent individual at Redcar
  11. A Absent rider (s) 1-3 by MA. - G or RR B 1 absent rider 4-5 by MA. - RR (unless RR is already being used then it’s a G) C Both riders 4-5. - RR x 1, G x 1 at the Team Managers discretion D Absent 6-7. - G E ‘No Facility’ Premiership 1-7. - Rider with a SGBC MA of 4 or less but lower than the missing rider Championship 1-7. - NDL G* not declared in a SGBP & SGBC team
  12. A plan currently exists by the management to get Peterborough back as an FIM track
  13. A few good races but on the whole it was fairly processional, the fact that it was close helped especially towards the end but riveting entertainment all night it wasn’t. The referees need to get a grip on rolling starts because one or two got away with it tonight and it isn’t fair on the others. We watched the practice on Friday , well for a few minutes anyway because it was dire and we switched over. My view on practice is it’s either compulsory for everyone or get rid of it altogether.
