Following a wash out over Easter I should think their will be a few Panthers fans likely to come to this so regular weather updates over the next couple of days would be helpful. -

It’s certainly odd bearing in mind it’s the start of the season and he had just accepted a new post on the BSPA. I dare say it will come out in due course.

I do, TBH I hadn’t really noticed that we were one of the few that didn’t. Anyway with a new Press Officer comes new ideas so hopefully one bone of contention has been addressed. -

I am expecting our preview to surface in the morning but at least it appears we are being given team line ups this year which will no doubt please most of our supporters although I can think of a couple who probably won’t be impressed. -
According to the star this week that appears to be the dearest for either league, let alone the championship.

Peterborough v Lakeside CS - Sunday 25th March

Considering the injuries that Newman has collected over the years it’s rather surprising he rides someone out like that, that could have been very nasty and very serious, the fact that Horley felt it didn’t cross the line doesn’t surprise me as referee wise she is dreadful. The meeting itself was excellent, lots of good racing but it was interesting that Lakeside came back into it when the track went slick. Personally I thought Lambert should have done 14 and I would have used Nicholls in 15 rather than Grondal, the score line somewhat flattered the Hammers but most thought before the match Lakeside would win including their management. Its too early to say whether Panthers are better than most of the supporters think, but we should have a better idea at the end of the 4 Shield group matches. -

Lawson, Morris and Ellis are all generally quite good around Alwalton, Newman is a bit up and down, it’s going to be decided by how good the Peterborough top 3 go against the Lakeside top 3, Nicholls should be very consistent at this level but we need good back up performances from Ostergaard and MPT. Either way it looks like being close. -

15.14 TOP SCORER’S HEAT (Heat 15 in all SGB League Competitions) incl NDL 15.14.1 Gate Positions are determined by the outcome of the Coin Toss at the start of the Meeting. 15.14.2 The Home Team Manager nominates first, but once nominated these cannot be amended, except by the Referee should the nomination not conform to the Regulations. 15.14.3 Nominations must be a ‘qualified’ Rider, determined as either: a) A Rider in the top 3 of that Meeting’s Team by current MA (NB. A Team missing one of the top 3 and using the RR facility) may use the 4th highest Rider by MA. or A Top 5 points scorer (counting the 4 x programmed rides only, including bonus points). Excluding any rider who has already taken 7 rides or if one of those top 5 point scorers has already taken 7 rides then the 6th highest points scorer becomes a ‘qualified’ rider. (NB: No facility is available allowing another rider to be elevated to the qualified list if any of those top 5 points scorers are unavailable due to be withdrawn or has no equipment). If a rider is disqualified for an offence under Art 15.3 the Team Manager may choose either of the following options: - i) The disqualified rider can start on a 15 metre handicap in c or d (The opposing team does not change gate positions). or ii) Is replaced by a reserve who will start from the same gate position at the tapes. In a re-run of heat 15 a non-disqualified rider who is unable to take part may be replaced by a reserve or another ‘qualified’ rider. Can I suggest an easier amendment 1. Riders are selected by the team manager who can choose any rider from his teams 1-7 less any that have already completed 7 rides. 2. Any offences at the start or during the race incur the usual penalties as per heats 1-14. Is it really that difficult.

Was mentioned by one of our team yesterday that riders forget.

All done and dusted before the AGM. It was fairly common knowledge two of our team was sorted for 2018 before we had won the KOC Final, no prizes for guessing who.
