  1. To be fair I don’t see a lot of fault anywhere, just a racing incident between two riders giving it everything.
  2. To be fair Custer it’s difficult to find anything positive to say about Lakeside, it certainly isn’t the quality of the racing or the superb all seated grandstand. But I should think your riders are happy, well apart from Kim Nilsson anyway.
  3. Indeed we are although we are fairly confident he will sort it.
  4. No based on the fact that your team is built around Lakeside track specialists.
  5. Does anyone know why it’s off as the website doesn’t say, perhaps Jenga knows ?
  6. Well that’s my first visit to Arena for quite a while and to be fair nothings changed. It’s still very basic facilities and the track was it’s usual super slick. The racing was generally poor with little genuine overtaking but interest was somewhat maintained because the Panthers managed to stay close until the latter few heats. Morris was very quick out of the starts but even he couldn’t make any impression when outrapped by Ostergaard. I don’t see many teams getting anything out of Lakeside but on the other side I don’t see them getting much on the road either. Nicholls needs to sort his machinery out, his track craft is good but his trapping is awful.
  7. A very good team effort, I bet Louis and Hawkins are happy chappies.
  8. Following a wash out over Easter I should think their will be a few Panthers fans likely to come to this so regular weather updates over the next couple of days would be helpful.
  9. Weather forecast for Wolverhampton is dreadful, the very best of luck.
  10. It’s certainly odd bearing in mind it’s the start of the season and he had just accepted a new post on the BSPA. I dare say it will come out in due course.
  11. I do, TBH I hadn’t really noticed that we were one of the few that didn’t. Anyway with a new Press Officer comes new ideas so hopefully one bone of contention has been addressed.
  12. I am expecting our preview to surface in the morning but at least it appears we are being given team line ups this year which will no doubt please most of our supporters although I can think of a couple who probably won’t be impressed.
  13. According to the star this week that appears to be the dearest for either league, let alone the championship.
  14. We were talking about why actual team lists 1-7 are not given on the BSF
  15. You know why, I told you. It looks like we have had a change of procedure following last weeks opener we will see
  16. Easter Sunday sees Peterborough take on Ipswich in the Championship Shield with the current weather forecast described as light cloud and breezy. Again this is a 7.00pm start due to other events at the Showground. Teams from Peterborough - Bacon, Grondal, Lambert, Lunna, Ostergaard, Nicholls & Palm Toft. Ipswich - Covatti, Haertal, Heeps, Hume, King, Mountain & Schlein.
  17. Considering the injuries that Newman has collected over the years it’s rather surprising he rides someone out like that, that could have been very nasty and very serious, the fact that Horley felt it didn’t cross the line doesn’t surprise me as referee wise she is dreadful. The meeting itself was excellent, lots of good racing but it was interesting that Lakeside came back into it when the track went slick. Personally I thought Lambert should have done 14 and I would have used Nicholls in 15 rather than Grondal, the score line somewhat flattered the Hammers but most thought before the match Lakeside would win including their management. Its too early to say whether Panthers are better than most of the supporters think, but we should have a better idea at the end of the 4 Shield group matches.
  18. Lawson, Morris and Ellis are all generally quite good around Alwalton, Newman is a bit up and down, it’s going to be decided by how good the Peterborough top 3 go against the Lakeside top 3, Nicholls should be very consistent at this level but we need good back up performances from Ostergaard and MPT. Either way it looks like being close.
