  1. Surely team spirit is down to the team manager and the management, not doing a great job at Leicester either.
  2. It’s always been the case that the top 4 in situ at the cut off date qualify, of course that’s subject to change like a lot of things currently.
  3. My understanding is that facilities are only given for Extraleague and Div 1 matches, Div 2 fixtures don’t get facilities and the riders should ride in the U.K, if they don’t then the riders or the club are liable for sanctions from the SCB.
  4. Well Gents their is guests that say no thanks and those that are pleased to do it, their are also guests that look like they will do a good job and then seriously let you down, no doubt you can remember the last one at home to Sheffield who gave two completely different performances in the space of three days on pretty much identical tracks. These days it’s about booking guests that will give you 100%, the other thing to take into account it’s at Lakeside.
  5. It’s been coming for weeks, the track is in dire need of a makeover it’s just far too slick. The team may like it like that but it makes for boring meetings especially if the Panthers are not competitive out of the starts.
  6. Panthers will go back to the top of the Championship if they win today but I dare say the Witches will be trying to spoil the party and with it being the only home match this month hopefully a good turnout. TeamsPETERBOROUGH: Scott Nicholls, Simon Lambert, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Michael Palm Toft, Ben Barker, Emil Grondal, Tom Bacon.IPSWICH: Rory Schlein, Cameron Heeps, Nico Covatti, Mark Riss, Adam Ellis, David Wallinger, Coty Garcia.
  7. Exactly, and surely that’s the point of it all. Supporters want to be entertained, that really is the first thing that needs to be sorted, tracks need to prepared for racing not boring boring gate and go processions. Highlighted by that superb advert for the sport at Swindon last week live on BT.
  8. Their are lots of riders who protect and keep their averages low especially towards the end of the season so they get employment the following season, it’s been going on for decades, it’s nothing new.
  9. I think the current 15 heat is the best formula the UK has used, I certainly wouldn’t favour any change in that.
  10. And certainly don’t ever show that sort of crap live on TV
  11. That’s because the Cardiff GP provides everyone attending with a great racetrack, great racing, good entertainment, good view and seats. Its not cheap but it is a great day out. Now compare that with Swindon v Leicester on BT sport last night.
  12. Just said exactly the same, it’s a disgrace that this is the televised fixture, whatever do casual fans think of this dire rubbish, that’s of course assuming anyone can see anything bearing in mind the dust.
  13. I think this date makes the Pairs unlikely to be the day before as has become the norm, kids back at school, weather at that time of the year makes it a real gamble as is the GP. I think the GP will take a hit as well, a big one as well.
  14. Seemed on a par with previous years maybe slightly less but a reasonable crowd nonetheless.
  15. It was a good meeting and the racing was as you said really exciting and entertaining, you make some good points however that Somerset know only too well what to expect and the facilities provided do not match the expected and usual attendance. The 20 qualifying heats took about 1 and a quarter hours and yet for some unknown reason the semis and Final took another 45 minutes with a forecast which threatened rain mid evening but which arrived earlier than forecast. The only other gripe was how long it took to get out of the stadium and car park, the parking was unsupervised and the exit was just a free for all as well.
  16. At the end of the day it’s up to the FIM to appoint properly qualified and competent referees who can officiate at this level. Someone clearly didn’t do his homework on this idiot who has slipped through the net.
  17. It wasn’t hard to work out what he said, about summed his night up methinks.
  18. You can just see it in a few weeks when clubs are scrambling to get fixtures in before the deadline (9th September) the weather will turn and we will have loads of rain offs. Two months of no rain will get rectified at some time.
  19. Has anyone seen any information reference who is partnering Chris Harris at this event as at the moment it’s Richie Worrall who has officially left the club. GROUP 1LAKESIDE: Nick Morris/Richard LawsonSCUNTHORPE: Josh Auty/Jake AllenEDINBURGH: Ricky Wells/Erik RissPETERBOROUGH: Scott Nicholls/Michael Palm ToftBERWICK: Kevin Doolan/Aaron SummersGROUP 2SHEFFIELD: Kyle Howarth/Charles WrightIPSWICH: Rory Schlein/Nico CovattiGLASGOW: Chris Harris/Richie WorrallREDCAR: Ben Barker/Thomas Jorgensen WORKINGTON: Ty Proctor/Nicolai Klindt
  20. Track was similar to Friday, didn’t seem to present too much of a problem for him then.
