  1. Yeah but nothing any hammers fans want to hear.
  2. My information is the ACU are holding the judicial review.
  3. Peterborough Panthers Speedway Supporters Club runs social evenings throughout the year including regular Quiz and Darts nights, they are generally well attended and at our end of season party the other night (which was a total sell out) we had most of the team and all the management attend. It can be done and does work at some clubs.
  4. Ged’s been fined by the SCB not the BSPA. The initial bond although paid by the Peterborough management was mostly raised by Peterborough supporters.
  5. But thats the point, the rules that apply to this competition are issued as a supplementary supposedly two weeks before the event, its not a lot of point going on rules in the regulations if they then change them in the supplementary. Of course then we go through the 10 teams are in it, then 8 and then back to 10 in the space of a few days which of course consequently costs Berwick their no 1 because he has signed to ride in Poland. Its a complete crock of Shyte and until someone sits down and re rewrites the rule book, someone who isnt a promoter (referee or someone on the SCB/ACU) then this type of crap will happen every year. The sections of the rule book need taking away from the promoters as they are just not up to the job or trustworthy enough to keep politics out of it.
  6. A good night in front of a packed house, just concentrated on this seasons events with little said about the recent troubles. I think a fans Forum is planned in the not too distant future.
  7. It is interesting that you say that but the supplementary regulations (that should have come out two weeks before the Fours) actually came out 4 days before them and days AFTER all teams had submitted their line ups. I think you will learn that Rathbone did exactly that from the start and has never changed from that story.
  8. What a meeting, some very good racing a great atmosphere and Panthers take it at the Death. Terrible bad luck to Danny King & Ipswich and losing a top rider in both legs was very cruel. Thankfully none of that bad luck was down to the Panthers. It was clear BWD wasn’t fit but he clearly just wanted to give it a go, everyone else chipped in at some stage with a good ride. Fantastic evening.
  9. I don’t know for sure but if rides Foxhall as well as Alwalton he won’t be any worse than anyone else.
  10. Trouble is when you start looking at 6-7 pointers for a no 1, Panthers probably would get the same or more from Harris, Ostergaard and Starke and another.
  11. It was likely to be Nicholls but the BSPA ruled that Holders score in his last league match on the 13th doesn’t count until next Monday so he rides in place of Schlein instead, shame because it’s undoubtedly going to hit the attendance as I doubt many Panthers fans will now travel. The Panthers management have tried a lot of riders, most have packed up and returned home, some are ill or injured and it’s probably just better to give Harris, Starke and Ostergaard the extra rides, at least we know they will try which is more than I can say over some of our expensive guests recently have done.
  12. I must admit I had a wry smile when the announcer said the person could have been ejected, yeah right like that was going to happen.
  13. Trouble is with the SCB and the BSPA is they are not consistent, some clubs lead a charmed life others get jumped on from a great height.
  14. If they have the appropriate sick notes no problem, if they havent then I am sure Peterborough will be declined any facility. As for being too honest I believe Rathbone made no great secret of the chain of events leading up to Holder riding for Torun and they absoloutly shafted him. Jake Knight was another who told the truth and got a ban.
  15. No that’s unfortunate but it’s not those 5 that’s raising the concern is it , it’s Perks gone home to Australia and Andersen gone on holiday My understanding is riders are contracted until the 31st October. It’s clear Redcar haven’t reported either rider for withholding services otherwise they would have appropriate facilities rather than NL 6 pointers. As a lot of the Redcar supporters are saying “they won’t be going”
  16. Fairly but you can never say for sure, to be fair not too many thought Ipswich would beat Sheffield in the semis.
  17. And of course it’s letting down the paying public which was another point levelled at Peterborough. You cannot have it both ways.
  18. No grapes needed just consistency, all teams treated the same. Bit like riders missing shared events, seems ok for Lambert but not for Cook.
  19. Not on FIM duty GP isn’t until 27th/28th, he cannot even claim travelling as he is already there.
