  1. Ged’s said many times and again fairly recently he will never ask the fans for a whip round again.
  2. The rulebook is a total crock of Shyte and has been for ages, I am told by the SCB that team line ups can be changed by the BSPA MC and this has clearly happened in this case. Makes you wonder what other rules they can ride roughshod over.
  3. You also have it in the speedway Regulations that Championship takes priority over National except for NLRC, yet apparently the BSPA MC have overruled that rule and state Bewley and Smith ride in the NL. What is the point. Ludicrous
  4. Depends on the owner, local derbies would be better with Lynn, Leicester, Rye and Ipswich all within easy reach but not sure weekday race nights would support it crowd wise, crowds were not good enough last time we tried it.
  5. Not just Holder and Lambert unfortunately which if the rumours are right is going to disappoint a few next weekend. Nick Morris & Josh Grajczonek - Rzestow Steve & Richie Worrall - Rawicz I also heard Jake Allen got a few rides over there but not sure for who
  6. Absolute legend and as you say a lovely bloke as well, all the very best PK
  7. Well the important question is does Damien Bates want PL racing in 2018 because the fact that he controls both clubs involved in the play off relegation non event makes it somewhat easier doesn’t it.
  8. Both fixtures now in the BSPA fixtures for October so just need the club websites updating but thankfully they are now confirmed.
  9. Perfect nick, the track was totally devoid of shale, it was so slick it completely ruined any chance of real racing although we did have a couple of good heats towards the end as Bomber got really dialled in but it was hard for the others especially early on as the track was set up clearly as the Scorpions top 5 wanted it and they were all very quick from the traps from the start. Racing overall was poor and judging by the attendance (about 250) it wasn’t the big turn out expected, as for the track specialist Richie Worrall, we couldn’t decide whether he was just poor because of the track or looking ahead for his team Glasgow, either way is wasn’t good.
  10. Just a shame he didn’t sign the lease then
  11. Problem is the weather forecast for the match day morning is for showers/rain up to 2.00pm, hopefully the forecast will improve. No doubt the Scunthorpe oracle will update everyone.
  12. I was thinking when Bates got injured last night at Glasgow, Sheffield & Leicester could both end using RR for him, try explaining that one to the general public.
  13. Indeed, but we get this every year and we still end up trying to cram everything in at the last minute
  14. Both teams reporting full 1-7s tonight which is a rarity in any league, weather looks ok as well. Good practice ahead of Fridays KOC tie at Scunthorpe
  15. It’s been raised season after season and still it happens every single year. The cup situation was raised a month ago and the QF ties are still not confirmed although the secondary outstanding Championship matches appeared to have been sorted.
  16. To be fair it’s fairly common this year that we have agreed Fixtures home and away knowing we were missing riders, as long as we are not disadvantaged we agreed to them. It’s practically impossible to arrange matches in season with both teams having a full 1-7.
  17. To be fair Holder could make BOTH dates offered by Scunthorpe but by the time we knew for sure Holder was ok (for the 7th July) Scunthorpe had confirmed the 7th July with Newcastle. The delay was over the SWC, we were not sure whether Holder would be the Australian reserve in the SWC. Just out of interest about the time Scunthorpe offered us the 7th July, Redcar offered us the 6th, they were happy to wait for an answer and we did go to Redcar on the 6th without Harris (SWC).
  18. Genuine question - can Newcastle only stage meetings on Sundays
  19. As I explained to you 1. The staging promotion offer their opponents up to 3 dates What part of the above Do you not understand ? If it wasn't for Peterborough constantly reminding Scunthorpe to offer dates we would probably be doing this in October (we still might)
