Peterborough V Scunthorpe 8/9/17 C2
bigcatdiary replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Meeting postponed following heavy rain this morning. -
Unless they reduce the costs I don't see one League being realistic, as others have said this could be sorted but the members of the BSPA couldn't work together for the good of the sport if their lives depended on it. I really don't think the men running the sport in the UK are up to the job required and recent evidence just supports it. I really worry for the sport as it's currently imploding with supporters just walking away in droves. Excellent report Phil as always

Jake Allen riding according to Scunthorpe news and BWD looking to ride if he comes through a morning practice session ok, just need news on AUTY now. More importantly will Workington get the support it needs to survive, club future in doubt in star. -
The weather forecast for this match has improved over the week and it looks a lot more promising now. Not sure if teams have been confirmed yet as both have injury problems.

You write Poole off at your peril, they could easily get the better of Swindon -
Newcastle V Redcar 3/9/17

To be fair quite how or why the BSPA could get told that a British rider has to ride abroad rather than for his British club is frankly ludicrous. -

And just how many of the teams had their top four riders ? -

What direct BSPA ruling did Panthers go against. A Referee told me you can change your team up to 1.5 hours prior to the match starting. -

To be fair it's difficult to argue against that. -
That's a very good question I wonder why, could it be that Robert Lambert has more Polish commitments and Newcastle are now in a position with home dates available but no No 1.

I rather think most Peterborough fans think you go on. -

16.2.7 A SGB Premiership or Championship League rider will establish an MA after 4 Home and 4 Away fixtures, becoming effective 7 days after the last qualifying Meeting. Should an Established MA not be achieved to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares. That's what the rule says, it wasn't followed for Premiership riders, utterly ludicrous -

I thought everyone got a new average after 4H and 4A this year but it didn't happen in the Premiership. -
Peterborough Panthers 2017

Why, like all the 100 club members he pays his monthly dues like the rest the Panthers supporters and good luck to him. Incidentally Ben is his second cousin. Just out of interest Lukas are you a member of the 100 club. -
Right I have read it So let's see if I have this correctly, because a Newcastle Speedway PR has said Lambert has been told to ride in Poland by the ISLB that everyone should believe this as gospel. I seem to recall a Kings Lynn PR the other week saying they had a full 1-7 when in fact MPT was riding in Denmark.
-
Because it's bull$hyte How many times have we heard that home federations have ordered riders to ride in their domestic leagues rather than the UK.
-
NDL G*: a rider eligible for a NDL Team who has never achieved an actual PL MA of 4.00 or above and not currently in a Premiership or Championship 1-7.

Rye House V King's Lynn - Tuesday 29th August.

I just love the Kings Lynn match preview and I quote " The only current absentee is Nicklas Porsing (concussion) with regular stand in Simon Lambert stepping into the breach at reserve" Porsing top scored for Rospiggarna tonight scoring 13+1, not bad for someone with concussion. -
Lasse Bjerre. Refusal To Ride.

Barker accepted a guest booking for Peterborough at Glasgow cried off on the day saying he was unwell and then practised the same day at Stoke later on, the SCB apparently were not interested in doing anything about it.
