Attendances have been dreadful on Tuesdays in the past and the management are naturally keen to avoid fixtures that end up costing them a fortune (understandably) which is why we avoid weekdays in general. Available dates for Sundays, Fridays and Bank Holidays are very limited due to other events at the Showground with an increased fixture list this year not helping at all. Doubling up clashes, overseas and world championships etc cause immense rescheduling problems as you will appreciate when involving 14 riders associated promoters and team managers. I have recommended several times that the Premiership and Championship run on different race nights, it would end the doubling up problems overnight. What evidence do you have that the BSPA listen to anyone. -

Perhaps you can introduce yourself to me or Ged at the next meeting and we can attempt to explain the situation which you think could and should have been avoided. -

To be fair our own three didn't do too bad despite what some on here think, Branford apart the guests were rubbish. -
Your top 5 are currently averaging nearly 38.00.

Showground track was okay today and in very good nick apparently, which was a little surprising bearing in mind it rained all day on Wednesday. -

Rathbone is completely different to Frost -
He is a fabulous talent on a bike and his commitment and dedication to his GP meetings is great unfortunately his commitment to GB isn't and until he changes his mind and makes himself available for the British team, British Championship and league racing in the UK it won't change. British Speedway is at a low ebb but the recent drive to establish new British talent should be continued and our National Championships and National team should be entirely staffed by British riders who commit over here and not to other countries riders just because they live over here.

Good point but I supposed his average fitted the gap left.

I agree, a cracking GP and some brilliant riding, Hancock and Pedersen at the moment don't look the same riders as last year. Stadium looked pretty full as well. -
That's true but the respective rule particularly mentions riders not having an established average when teams re declare, which suggests to me that's it's aimed at teams with riders on assessed averages trying to gain an advantage.
-
I think that applies to riders who started this year without an established average.
