  1. Stefan Nielsen strongest reserve in the league, yeah right. I think Bradley Wilson Dean has that mantle.
  2. Nice to see different riders on the rostrum but the racing was absolutely dire. Shocking start to the series, hopefully things will improve.
  3. Dale is highly capable as a TM and the fact that he was doing such a good job at Peterborough surely prompted Lynn to promote him rather than lose him full time to the Panthers.
  4. Quite why Starke is getting flak is beyond me. Top heavy teams can get by with a couple of riders having off nights but if you build a solid team they all need to score, when your number one is only scoring 1 point you have a major problem.
  5. None of the Peterborough fans react to him, just do what we do and ignore him/her
  6. Basically because none of the others wanted to do it That's so annoying and unfortunately it happens regularly at Peterborough, even more so when they announce who is in the race when they are at the tapes ready to go.
  7. 2017 Speedway Regulations. 16.2.1 ESTABLISHED MAs are calculated, for a specified number of applicable Meetings, taking account of the number of heats and points (excluding Bonus Points) that a rider has scored. The applicable Meetings are: SGB Premiership: SGB Championship: League Meetings, excluding the Play-Offs League Meetings, excluding the Play-Offs League Meetings only. NB: (Double) points scored as a TR will count at 50%. 16.2.7 A SGB Premiership or Championship League rider will establish an MA after 4 Home and 4 Away fixtures, becoming effective 7 days after the last qualifying Meeting. Should an Established MA not be achieved to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares.
  8. Starke was feeling the effects of his recent shoulder injury which is why he didn't do heat 15, I think most of the Panthers supporters would have realised that.
  9. It's been raised quite a few times, the view is excellent, the seats are comfortable and your sheltered from the elements and the best thing is it doesn't cost you anymore.
  10. Somewhat ironic that everyone's watching 4 riders race at breakneck speed on motorcycles with no brakes, now that is dangerous
  11. I rarely miss a Ipswich v Peterborough match and certainly haven't missed many over the last few decade or two, i do like your stadium facilities and viewing but I have rarely seen good racing at foxhall in all the years I have been going. I agree somewhat that all tracks are their to be raced on and clubs should set up the tracks to suit their team but I do feel that all tracks should be prepared to encourage good racing which after all is what it's all about.
  12. You bet they do have you read any of the recent Sheffield threads.
  13. The same as if they don't like a super slick track they invariably get stuffed, like us at yours on Saturday and you at Sheffield last week.
  14. The bottom line is the track should be prepared so all riders can race on it, you then give everyone the chance to race because it's clear that one team having a massive home advantage doesn't lend itself to good racing and attracts the criticism that a lot of tracks are currently receiving for producing processions after trapping competitions. To be fair I think some members of the Panthers gave it a good go (one clearly didn't and got a lot of stick for it - deservedly) two more got hurt which obviously affected the team performance bearing in mind Bacon who certainly wasn't used to it and fell several times early on had to take 7 rides. I don't know how Hansen would have taken to it but he does like a grippy track. Just out of interest what was your take on your teams performance at Sheffield where from reports was super slick.
  15. Their has been a lot of comments this year on a lot of threads about the preparation and dirt on tracks and them being prepared for racing as opposed to processions after the first bend, your track was dreadful last although admittedly your team rode it a lot better than mine. If tracks are not going to be prepared so riders can actually race on them what is the point, stadiums can be very good with excellent seats viewing and amenities but if the racing is crap it's that what's remembered, if you think I am joking read the Sheffield and Glasgow threads this year and they are not the only ones.
  16. Meeting finished about 9.15 last night but with falls, tapes and injuries in abundance it wasn't surprising.
  17. Well that's my first visit since the track alterations and if that's the usual foxhall track you really shouldn't have bothered, it was clear early on that the first and second bends were dreadful and with falls in nearly every heat it extended the agony for well over two hours. The witches got stuck in and made the best of it while it has to be said most of the Panthers didn't, Starke was unlucky when Bacon fell in front of him and was clearly unable to carry on and from heat 4 onwards it was pretty much one way traffic, genuine overtakes were rare whilst the racing was non existent. Lambert was an absolute disgrace and although it took Bacon 4 races to actually finish a race upright he did improve, unfortunately the racing didn't. I and several others with me thought the crowd was poor for an Easter meeting but if that's the usual fare it's not surprising. With major road works ongoing around the A14 for the next few years it might be a while before I go to Ipswich again, that will certainly be my only visit this year.
  18. I think King will ride both matches, whether he is fully fit remains to be seen.
  19. It now appears he isn't Paul Starke now riding for the Panthers Saturday
