  1. I take it you mean "Everyone" and do not intend to make yourself appear semi literate. However it's comforting that you know what "everyone else thinks", given that your powers of mind reading are really impressive One last point when posing a question, should you not end with a question mark ???
  2. Ah your a mind reader as well Sorry to disappoint, but you should really ensure you fully understand the meaning of words, such as "theory" and "fact", before trying to point score on superior knowledge of the English language, and you are then found wanting
  3. Looks like you are responding to the wrong post - where did I mention how many away wins ? You must be struggling to to understand the difference between theory(i,e, "an idea used to account for a situation") and fact, which you appear to assume are the same
  4. Kevin has only ridden four meetings outwith the UK in 2014, the last being on 4th June. So, not for the first time, your "theory" is not supported by the facts
  5. So explain why the Monarchs generally are decent visitors at most tracks. Maybe regularly riding Armadale every week develops a rider to be able to perform better at away circuits F.Y.I. Wolbert's initial 2014 PL GSA of 8.40 was based on converting his 2013 Belle Vue GSA of 5.04. BTW he left Monarchs at the end of 2011 with a GSA of 8.61. Agree it would be better for both parties to part company now, but to infer that he is deliberately lowering his average to pave the way for a return to Edinburgh is typical Possilpark Paranoia.
  6. Very sad, but I would not be too quick to slag off the home Promotion, who probably made the stand in arrangements in good faith that the correct cover would be provided. Perhaps the normal track doc (is it still Butler ?) had input. Having been present when the Monarchs match at Worky was abandoned because for medical support problems, there does seem to be difficulties in Cumbria with this function.
  7. Yes there was something else the Berwick Promotion could have done, namely have the courtesy to inform their patrons at the meeting tonight, rather than restrict it to an online announcement after the match. Dick Barrie had plenty to say on the centre green, but must have had temporary amnesia about Kus's absence on Friday. No, but Craig did appear unwell when appearing on the parade truck at the start.
  8. Expected Panthers to win as they are starting to click. Even without Bjerre, they had a decent guest in Summers. If they can get a good replacement for Fisher, they will fancy their chances against anyone. Monarchs fully deserve praise for compiling a 24 match unbeaten run, which had to end sometime, and which will take something exceptional for any other team to equal or surpass.
  9. As is my norm, apart from entering the score chart, I actually get round to fully reading the full programme when I get home. tbh, I wonder if you have actually got round to reading the 8 page wrapround, together with the included postponed programme ? Now, the wraparound is advert free, contains a two page preview of worky, 4 match reports with 13 colour photos, plus the Co Promoter's comment column and a superb artwork front page. The re-issue of the previous postponed 24 page match programme, also supplements the news articles that occurred during that period. Can you honestly describe the above as a rip-off ? I certainly cannot, but given your affection for Yorkshire, maybe the reputation for being "Scotsmen with their generosity wringed out out" explains your reaction
  10. The forecaster that Ole Olsen relied on for GPs is currently predicting a far drier picture from 12 noon tomorrow. http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Berwick-Upon-Tweed/hour_by_hour.html Given this might be Berwick's only chance to be the first team to end the Monarchs unbeaten run (should they win at home tonight), the home Promotion should be keen to stage the match on Saturday.
  11. Impressive performance from Tigers who it seems might have won but for re-runs.. Hard luck on Christian to suffer a further mishap on his return from injury. What was Wolbert's exclusion for in ht 1 and who was the ref who, according to the Updates, was holding the tapes too long ?
  12. Craig's form has dipped recently, and it might actually help him to be out of the spotlight until he regains his form. Let someone else become the whipping boy should GB falter during the WTC.
  13. Basing an assessment purely on current Green Sheet Average is somewhat blinkered, and ignores current form and how the rider has previously performed at a particular track.
  14. Do not recall this and the DVD of the meeting would confirm this. All Craig's bikes, including his back up machines, are kitted out in the same livery, including neon yellow rimmed wheels. If it was the case that he appeared in his second ride on different bike attire, perhaps he borrowed a team mate's bike at short notice ?
  15. Decent meeting which both sides can take positives out of. With Monarchs no longer able to utilise additional rides for Worrall as a reserve replacement, we will find it harder to continue this phenomenal unbeaten run. Quite naturally, most opposing fans are envious of our current success, and are keenly anticipating our first defeat. When this happens there will be rejoicing by the jealous, but we Monarchs fans will take comfort in supporting a team that has put together an unbeaten sequence that none of our opponents are ever likely to emulate in their lifetime
  16. How soon will that be,since Glasgow have been using the facility since 4th May, which will 63 days come tomorrow ?
  17. When arrived in the car park, there was a moderate rain shower which petered out within 10 mins. So when I went in at 6.30pm, I expected the track to be a sodden mess, since the meeting was now off. There was no surface water and it appeared that it would be possible for the best track man in the business could have provided a raceable circuit within a feasible timespace. I was told that both teams were prepared to wait and see if Doc Bridgett could work his magic, rather than have another cancellation to fulfil at a later date. Given the statement on the Edinburgh website, it would be in the public interest if Craig Ackroyd and/or Graham Reeve of the SCB, could explain why an early unilateral decision, without consulting the interested parties, was taken ?
  18. The late Ian Thomas was a second halfer at Bradford (Greenfield) in 1962, before later becoming a practising magician Wolves Pete Adams also rode in second havles in the Midlands in the sixties. Just thought you would like to know
  19. Believe either guest or r/r facility were subject to 28 days time limit in respect of an unavailable assessed rider. So looks like pity is being shown to the Buckfast Boys by ignoring the rulebook with regard to the absent Berge
  20. I was merely asking the question and note you have not answered. After all, surely Dickson & Co. would not stoop to rule breaking in their desperation to achieve a result against Scotland's premier team
  21. I take it the previous regulation that r/r for an assessed rider (i.e. Berge, assessed CMA 5.00) was restricted to 28 day period, has been discreetly removed, given that the Tigers continue to use this facility to their advantage, long after the 28 day period for the Frenchman has expired Appears the weather forecast for Sunday is improving compared to earlier meteorological predictions.
  22. Pleasant evening to watch Speedway, but unfortunately the track, although not dusty, appeared to offer little in the way of passing opportunities after the second bend in most races. Monarchs adapted better, providing ten heat winner amongst six of the team and always looked like winning as the meeting progressed. Hope junior rider, Paul Bowen, is ok after his fall in ht1 of the abandoned NJL match.
  23. Not really, if Matej Kus had been there, he would have scored 24, instead of Worrall's paltry 15 Quite a bit Doolan bashing going on here, despite being second top scorer tonight, and matching his current GSA, (or 1/2 pt less than starting average)
