  1. Currently raining steadily here and dark overhead. Ten minutes later it's bright and sunny. Welcome to the British summer
  2. Cloud high with sunny intervals, but no sign of rain. If we do have any it'll probably be a light sprinkling
  3. Currently cloudy half a mile from the track, but no rain this morning. Clouds are quite high. 40% chance of light rain this afternoon according to Met Office. *edit* forecast has now changed to cloudy all day, 20% chance of rain. 67f at 5pm Yes. You can follow on twitter @ryehouseupdates or via http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14723/rye-house-berwick-plkoc-5pm I'm sure Bandits Twitter are also covering it
  4. Berwick are a strange team. Depending on guests they can give anyone a hard time. Luke Bowen will be race rusty after a few months out and Danny Maassen will be a bag of nerves on his home debut. Expect decent performances from THJ, Doolan & Tungate. I reckon we'll need a 12-14 point lead at least to up to Berwick Light rain forecast for the afternoon, clearing by start time
  5. It's worth the admission to see Danyon Hume alone. Quite scary at times.
  6. He was practicing at Rye today with Luke Bowen
  7. She didn't see it. She was working the night shift in the cancer ward of a major London Hospital, tending seriously ill and dying patients. Doubt she'd be bothered about the result to be honest
  8. One of the worst meetings I've seen on Sky, or anywhere to be honest. Can't say I'm surprised. Very rarely see a good meeting at Berwick
  9. One of the worst meetings I've seen on Sky, or anywhere to be honest. Can't say I'm surprised. Very rarely see a good meeting at Berwick
  10. BW-D will be much in demand. There will be more lucrative offers than anything Rye House can offer. He's already touting himself around for sponsors, so the kid is at least trying. Only seen him a couple of times and he's impressed. Still plenty to improve on though.
  11. That would be the only reason I'd go, but I'm not spending £60 to find out
  12. You sure? I read it as can't guest for NL, but can guest in PL
  13. Not eligable to guest in the NL http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/nl15_issue_11.pdf
  14. Of course, my mistake. RR for Kasper Lykke. Anyway you look at it, it'll be a massacre
  15. Will do well to exceed 25 points. I'm saving my dough for the weekend meetings
  16. Ellis & Wilson-Dean are guesting for Boxall & Mellgren, who average is over 6. It'll be Massen and Greenwood at reserve Probable line up: 1. Kennett 2. Wilson-Dene 3. Ellis 4. RR (Lykke) 5. Jakobsen 6. Greenwood 7. Massen If Ipswich don't hit 60+ they should be ashamed of themselves *Edited*
  17. Ten points? Do me a favour. It'll be more like 20, probably more
  18. I used to go to stocks at Arena Essex in the mid to late 90's when there was no speedway at Rye House. The grass banks were packed for BH Monday meetings. Must've been in excess of three thousands people there.
  19. Speedway is an expensive sport to run. I've heard of some PL reserves on £50-£60 a point. If that's the reserves what are the heat leaders on? The admission costs can't cover the outgoings, so something's gotta give. I compare my visit to Berwick Rangers over Xmas and new year. About 500 people paying £12 a head. The Bandits charge £15 and attract similar crowds. Not having a pop, just comparing. How much to service a motor, £500-600 every couple of months? That's ridiculous. If your engine blows god help you. Something's gotta change
