  1. The new Rye promotion would want to create a good image, Kitting the team out in matching race suits would be a good start
  2. Do Lakeside and Rye have any fixture clashes when both are at home?
  3. Perhaps Danny was aware you only needed a 4-2 for the point and was just content to keep Edward at the back
  4. Guests have been hit or miss for us in recent times, so I'm not particularly happy about this situation. Edward dropped 3 points in 6 rides on our last visit. Mind you, Sam Masters only dropped one
  5. Kennett frequently comes 3rd or last in heat 15, so no surprise
  6. That's not too bad. My memory must be playing tricks with me.
  7. So pleased to see a huge turnout for this meeting. Definitely a PLRC level crowd and a lovely sunny day a bonus. Didn't think much of the racing, one or two good heats, but who cares? Still the bag searches before entering, but not all of em
  8. It'll be difficult for the Rockets to get anything from this. Ipswich have had a go around their track already and have more competitive laps under their belts than our team. The Rockets rustiness showed in the early heats on Saturday. Foxhall has never been a happy hunting ground for us, so I'm expecting a comfortable home win in the region of 14-16 points. Long range weather forecast doesn't look encouraging.
  9. Haven't turned a wheel yet and they're envious already. Looking forward to the Sky meeting
  10. Rye House won at Peterborough first meeting last year and look where they finished
  11. Nothing like a bit of fishing on a Sunday afternoon
  12. It's not a competition if I'm not there Also heard the new Slovenian looked less than impressive
  13. So in summary, MPT would've been an illegal signing average wise, but the BSPA say it's ok?
  14. Can't be sure about the red lights. I had already put a 4-2 in the programme, so was surprised when a 5-1 was announced. As it was the final bend of the race there was no need to award it, unless Kasper falling impeded another rider, but I'm not sure he did
  15. As I recall, Luke Bowen crossed the line in second place, but Babs announced him as third and awarded Ipswich a 5-1 after Kasper Lykke fell on the last bend. We assumed she'd stopped the race at the moment Lykke fell, which would've been a 5-1 to Ipswich, but apparently she hadn't. Communication problems between the refs box and the pits/start marshall was blamed, but as she was sitting next to the track announcer I find that very difficult to believe. On the plus side, I heard reports that the Rye House fish has improved greatly.
  16. Very pleased with the result. Many Ipswich supporters were expecting an away win I'm sure. Liked the look of the new guys. Nikolaj will be a star, Robin was super quick out of the gate. Disappointed with Luke's performance and Anders looked slow in his first few rides. I'd have taken that result before the start.
