  1. No water put down during the meeting, despite requests from riders and even the new owner. All requests were turned down by Len Silver. Can't figure it out. Spoke briefly to Edward Kennett after the meeting. He was NOT a happy bunny!!
  2. Called it before the heat. Can't remember the last time he won heat 15
  3. Len Silver doesn't get the gate money. He's not the owner of the stadium. There's still a good few Panthers fans here.
  4. Totally deserved win. Rockets threw away an 8 point lead due to no watering and another off day for Bowen & Boxall, who looks like he's back to his crap bikes again. MPT & Robert Lambert superb for the visitors. No weak link apart from Greenwood. Rockets back down to earth with a bump. I predicted a 4 point defeat before heat 1, without any support from those around me. Edward was seen to be having a blazing row with Len Silver in the pits after heat 10, saying the track was dry and dangerous. Had to be dragged away. Hope lessons have been learned.
  5. There's not a club in the country that wouldn't want to see the investment Glasgow have put in at their club. Many don't even own their own stadium. It'll mean nothing if the results on the track don't match the investment.
  6. I have to subscribe to watch the channels I want. I'm not overly confident today, any sort of win will do me. I think Peterborough have a point to prove after a poor start to the season. It's gonna cloud over by 2pm, but rain is unlikely (20% chance according to the Met Office).
  7. 50p If you're coming from Harlow carry on down the A414 for a mile or so to the roundabout and take the first exit towards Hoddesdon. Over the next roundabout and left the mini roundabout (Middleton Rd). You'll find a double mini roundabout at the end where it's a right and a left into Rye Rd. The stadium is at the end. That'll save you 50p each way on the toll.
  8. Don't have a problem with that. After all, we are secondary to the superstars of the "Elite League".
  9. They have. Away team still gains a point if they finish 6 or less points behind. Home team gets 3 for the win regardless of the winning score..... That's the new bit. It's still 2 points each for a draw
  10. 45 people on a 50 seater coach is what I heard. Well done to Lisa and the rest of the Supporters Club who organised the trip. Reports coming back are that the Bandits were very unlucky to only come away with a point *edit* 45 Bandits plus my youngest son, baby Rocket
  11. The Bandits VIP club transport arrives to whisk them home http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02453/helicopter-augusta_2453276b.jpg
  12. Well done to Berwick for coming away from moneybags Glasgow with a hard earned point. How ironic that the so called "Son of God" bottled being in heat 15 and on today of all days
  13. At the end of the day it's the individual's choice whether to travel or not. I can't help thinking that if they had a full strength team in form and it was a meaningful match to them they'd be here in their droves
  14. I live 2 minutes drive from the track. Takes me 75 minutes to drive to EOES (within speed limits)
  15. Looks unlikely early on in the meeting
  16. What if your club don't offer season tickets? What if they do and you can't afford, or don't wish to shell out £250+?There have been double headers at Rye House for years and people moaning about them for years. I remember fans of an NL side being allowed in after the first meeting at a reduced rate once
  17. I wish mate!! Problems of having a partner that supports a different team to me. Have to go everywhere TWICE!!
  18. Attended the Peterborough v Berwick/Plymouth PL double header last August with the other half who's a Bandits fan. I believe we paid £22 each. Can any Panthers fan direct me to where I can claim a refund as we left after the Berwick half of the meeting. Thanks
