Finally I'm looking forward to a second half at Rye House. Providing the track isn't as bald as my baby sons bottom it should provide a decent afternoons/evenings entertainment. I'll certainly consider hanging around rather than scoot off to the Rye pub after the PL boys have packed up
and gone.
Stand alone NL meetings will certainly be in my diary looking at the shape of the side so far. A bargain at a tenner
Len Silver is famed for saying, "it's my club and I'll run it my way", or words to that effect. He's notoriously stubborn and will not listen to anyone, including his own riders, especially on the subject of track preparation.
It'll be best for all parties concerned to get along for the sake of Berwick Speedway
I'm not allowed to comment further for obvious reasons, but the truth will come out eventually. People can decide for themselves. Banging your head against a wall is better than Eastenders
As far as I'm aware 100% the money raised by the supporters club goes to help out the riders and subsidise the coaches to away meetings. I don't know how much of the money raised from the VIP Club will be going directly to the riders.
Don't be fooled by the spin. The VIP Club is the promotions way of wrestling control and money away from the supporters club.
Can't see the logic in joining both, so it's gonna be up to the individual to make an informed choice. Trouble is, the ordinary Berwick fan doesn't know all the facts.
Mostly processional. You're not missing much
I'm sure it was just an oversight. Perish the thought that the promotion would be pushing their VIP club to the determent of the supporters club
They had some form of motor racing while Rye was closed to speedway between 1994 & 2000. In the early days, before Len Silver purchased the stadium, they had to lay and take up the shale before and after every speedway meeting
