  1. On Facebook he said he's flying out Saturday, bikes are going ahead earlier. Not sure who's bikes he's using on Friday
  2. Heard a name mentioned for the number 1 spot. Done deal apparently
  3. I reckon you've got it just about spot on No chance of Rye House ever going Elite League. Sittingbourne in the PL is a possibility, but not next year.
  4. I thought he was giving an interview for the 2014 Bandits number 1 place at one stage. He certainly gained some fans amongst the Bandits fans with his racing and after match interview, so much so that many of them were well behind him during the latter stages of the PLRC.
  5. At the home meeting with Berwick Len mentioned the safety fence for next year. Plans already in place and some of the fence has already been purchased, so I guess the answer is yes
  6. One of the better meetings I've seen at Berwick. More passing than I've seen there for a while and just about the right result. Impressed with Olly after a blank first race, deserved the rider of the night award. He said some kind words about the Berwick set up which was nice. Pie & burger was top notch as usual and Dick Barrie was on fine form, mostly aiming his attention at yours truly. Loved seeing Olly Grenwood take care of Barrett in heat 14. Pontus, Tyson & Bunny attacked the track with some success. Enjoyable "afters" in the Black & Gold until well after midnight. Very nice! Heard some good gossip about a certain northern based rider that was particularly interesting. All adds up
  7. You're not suggesting Exeter threw the match are you Eddie? Rockets were high on confidence and had an excellent guest in Shaun Tacey, unbeaten as I recall. It still riles B4E every time I mention it. Still ranks as the best tour I went on and one of the highlights of my 28 years supporting the Rockets.
  8. Not gonna happen. Easy Bandits win The Bandits have been punching above their weight for years. The 2005 season was probably the peak, last years excellent 4's win gave many false hope. Be thankful with what you have. You never know how long it's gonna last. Ask any Newport fan.
  9. Knee injury? Yeah, right. Shouldn't think the promotion are too bothered. Skidmore, like Nick Morris last year, will be the match winner. Weather in Berwick this morning is decent. No rain forecast. Looking forward to an Andersons pie & burger later.
  10. Much as I hate to agree with you, cos you're an arrogant SOB, I can't see anything but a huge win on aggregate for Somerset, probably winning both legs
  11. Not pointless for those of us who are traveling 350 miles to watch it after having previously had a wasted 700 mile round trip for the rained off meeting in August, or for the riders who have travelled far and wide to entertain us and earn some wedge.
  12. Interesting that the Rye website names Jason Garrity in the Rockets line up with the proviso "if fit", just like it has for the past couple of months. My understanding is that he won't race again this year. Still no mention of a guest just in case. All the best options are in the NLRC
  13. Season was doomed to failure after choosing Alex Edberg and his lovely race suits over Mickey Dyer
  14. Rockets are hopeless at Berwick and with one eye on the KOC final I reckon I'm pretty safe. Over to you B4E.....
  15. Could possibly be the lowest crowd at Shielfield this year with a largely unnatractive fixture, cold weather and what could be the decisive GP on TV.
  16. I have no idea what I was thinking of when I casually mentioned that bet/dare. For the first time in my Rye supporting life I'm hoping we don't win, but with our history there I doubt I'll have to pucker up this time.
